Aphsamoth? He gives us lots of information related to JEB, and his english is really good. He's pretty active on UPSB as well. -
Date: Thu, Dec 18 2008 03:31:17

-

ayysolo for chinese communities
DAR accepts to be translator, which means I can go get any JEB dude now -
Date: Thu, Dec 18 2008 20:55:05
Sure I'f I'm able to (not working/no school/not abroad).
what Japanese spinners are even gonna be in the WT btw? I think it would be fun to have kura in the podcast. Otherwise Saizen or SEVEN.
I'd skip having a GPCer as you wrote, too much people otherwise. Korean dude, tough one... Oh yeah, this will also be hard to manage with the time zones. -
Date: Fri, Dec 19 2008 00:09:12
I don't think anyone knows who JEB's spinners are yet due to their system.

damnit! ok!
this is supposed to be all about the wt right? I'd say we do the drawing about halfway through (15-20 minutes into the podcast?) so we can discuss matchups in the end.
what you wrote
- Info about the WT (prizes, structure, etc.)
- Round table discussion
- Drawing the matchups
- Discussion on the matchups
- Final toughts, more debates, etc.
But I don't know anything about the prize or anything at all, so can we I just ask you out live in the podcast about these topics?
Qs:
- Prizes, what they thought about the WC08 prizes, discussion about what happened to the WT07 prizes (hahaha), etc.
-
more is coming !1wek2owef -
Date: Tue, Jan 6 2009 21:41:34
crash will handle all extra info like prizes
-
Date: Thu, Jan 8 2009 08:38:38
woopidoo, have to check if vent is working for me... gonna try it in windows in bootcamp. can you send me all the server info etc Zombo?
-
Date: Thu, Jan 8 2009 13:35:39
ventrilo: upsb.info cre2acEc 3784
-
Date: Thu, Jan 8 2009 21:23:34
whut, bootcamp not working... this could end badly. is there any backup host if I can't make it? I'm gonna try and reinstall bootcamp now and otherwise I'll try to borrow another laptop for saturday night. I've got handwritten notes about what to talk about also, so I'll write that down here so the new host has topics if I can't get a connection to vent.
-
Date: Thu, Jan 8 2009 21:33:41
why did ventrilo not work with macs again?
-
Date: Thu, Jan 8 2009 21:37:24
cause vent for mac only allows one codec, and that's the one no one else uses, so it's not compatible...
-
Date: Fri, Jan 9 2009 16:59:34
would there be anyone else who could host if I can't get vent to work? reinstalling bootcamp just caused even more problems with starting it, so I doubt I'll get that to work. who more has been involved/interested earlier?
good evening everyone! this is []Â from []Â and i will be leading this podcast. this time we will talk exclusively about the upcoming wt. for those who didn't know, it's starting today. and we will be drawing the matchups live further on....
Guests: ta-da!
@Â Tony: who do you expect to perform good during this first round?
@Â WhiteFang: what attitude do the korean spinners have towards this tournament? they were pretty disappointed about losing so many matches in the WC last year... do they have higher expectations for their spinners this year? any special thoughts about why they lost in the WC? KTH won the last WT after all.
Need to get Eriror into the discussion also...
Practical details: prizes!
[I thought the prizes for the WC08 were amazing, I would've killed for one of those rings with my name on it. well, almost at least...]
What are your thoughts about the prizes AyySolo, did you think having rings was a good idea? What other things are suitable to have as prizes in a penspinning tournament? What are you hoping the prizes will be for this WT? and what happened to the prizes for the WT07, haha...
reactions and comments from the guests about other things
[questions to Alex/CrAsH about prizes and the structure, how many weeks each round lasts, etc]
what's round table discussion?
[matchup drawing]
discussion, Eriror comments his match (since he's the only guest who's in the WT), the others point out interesting matches (because they will probably be really close, because one of the spinners is unknown, anything) and speculate about upcoming matches and what they'd like to see.
will probably stretch for pretty long...
listener questions answered by in first hand CrAsH/Zombo, if time permits also questions for the guests.
rounding up, final thoughts and debates.
ta-da!
that should provide enough even for an unprepared host... -

Our server now uses Speex codec. No worries for MAC users
-
