    How do you guys discipline yourselves into practicing so much? I always get distracted >_<

    Any tips? Like when is a good time to practice.

    their might be a similar thread already but...

    I learned TA, Sonic when i was reading abook. I just layed down on my bed and just tried over and over again whil reading a book.

    otherwise: music, turn on the radio and tune in while spinning.

    Motivation: watch some collabs/tab videos/ solo's etc

    For me, i go to my room at night and read a book/do homework/etc and i sit on my bed.

    I but some pillows to rest my arm to make it parallel to the bed and practice while reading a book/doing homework/etc..

    I have very little patience when i practice at other times.

    I get most of my practice at school cause there is nothing else to do.

    For learning new tricks, after I know I can do a trick I use this method;
    I'll tell myself I'll stop only after I get it right 3 times consecutively. Then once I can do that, I go for 5 than 10 on different days. After you can do a trick 10 times in a row you usually have it down pretty good by than.

    Yeah, this method is good. I do it quite a lot.

    heheh, I used to practice when I had nothing to do (after finishing homework, blablabla). I sat down and read lots of tutorials, and tried to focus on the technique. xD. After learning the technique, and had done the trick a couple of times, then I could go practice wherever I could, like school, etc.

    Now, I basically freestyle. And it's easier to learn after knowing a couple of tricks, you get it quicker.

    Don't know if I explained myself in that last sentence. xD.

    Two best ways to get you to practice imo:

    number one: stay motivated....if you begin to lose interest in pen spinning, you won't practice; simple as that...tons of spinners learn advanced tricks fast, good spinners don't stop

    number two: add competitiveness, this doesn't necessarily mean set deadlines with other people for battles constantly, but always try and be the best out of those at the same skill level as you.
