    The blue eyes problem reminded me of this mafia variant. In this game, it's the mafia who's uninformed.

    POSSIBLE ROLES

    TOWN

    1 King:
    The king knows nothing. His goal is to stay alive to win. He must also make sure that the assassin is dead.

    3+ Guards:
    They all know who the king is, but not who everybody else is. They must kill the assassin and keep the king alive to win.

    MAFIA

    1 Assassin:
    His goal is find out who the king is and kill him. When he figures out who he wants to kill, he launches a suicide attack in the day. If he kills the King, he wins, otherwise if he didn't pick the king, he loses and town wins.

    RULES

    • There will be no talking outside of this thread.
    • Non-game players MAY NOT post in this thread.
    • Players must vote in the day to decide who to lynch. Once a majority has been reached, that person is automatically lynched. Players CANNOT vote for a No Lynch.
    • There is no night phase. After every lynch, we reveal if the town has successfully lynched the assassin. If not, we move to the next day. The only way for the assassin to win is to figure out who the king is and launch a suicide attack on him. Unless he manages to lynch to King (which is impossible, since all guards know who the King is).
    • There is no time limit.
    • Do not quote / screenshot any PM you receive. You may paraphrase any information you receive via PM, though.
    • When the assassin is successfully lynched, it's as if he has the final opportunity to launch his suicide attack and possibly kill the king to win the game.

    Voting MUST be formatted as follows:

    Vote: Player

    I will not count a vote if it is not bolded, even if your vote is clearly stated.

    Number of players
    5-7 players required. If the number of sign-ups reaches 12-14, then we can play double format (double the number of kings, assassins, guards).

    this is a fairly advanced variant though (the rules are simple to understand, but the strategy is difficult for both mafia and town), so I don't recomment people to sign up if its their first time playing any kind of mafia game.

    closing down the signups I prefer eriror over chris, sorry. It seems like you never played a game of Mafia before so you should first learn the rules and watch how it works before joining one. Makes the game better everybody else too. thanks.
