Okay this is my first OFFICIAL Tutorial. All my others sucked.
I got lots of feedback in show off your pens saying to release a tutorial.
Things Needed:
1 Bic round stic
2 Comssa Caps (Preferably white)
2 Signo Tips
2 Zebra M-301 tube body thingys
2 Telescopic weight pieces (The Ends of the caps on the ZT)
1 Papermate Top Notch Grips
Grips of choice: Dr. Grips and Top Notch
Optional:
Two rings from Dr. Grip Pen/Pencil
WARNING: This mod takes a lot of cutting, I will not be responsible for any fingers getting cut off.
Well maybe not a lot but there is cutting, so BE CAREFUL.
1. Cut the Bic body in half (I know this sounds stupid, but this is how i made mine)
2. Put some sort of inktube in the barrels
3. Put the M-301 tube on the two cut barrels.
4. Now take the second M-301 tube and cut it in half and put tape on each on for the comssa caps to fit on.
5. Then put the two cut M-301 pieces on each end of the body.
6. Now drill holes in the top of the comssa caps for the telescopic pieces to screw in.
(In this picture, you see the Top Notch grip over the Telescopic pieces. The reason for these grips is for the pieces to stay in.)
7. Also stick a Signo tip in each of the comssa caps as far as you can.
8. Put grips on the comssa caps.
9. Put caps on the body and voila!
You may need to slightly file the bic bodies a little bit for the tubes to fit on.
Hope you like it!
Length: 19cm
Weight: 24g
The end picture was a old one, if you like you may add grips on those two spots, i think it is annoying.
Don't push the tubes all the way on the body, leave like half a cm in between the two tubes.
Also sorry for blurry pictures.
I am shaky right now -__-
One of the names I came up with is Super Comssa. It sure suites it. -

ha. thats funny. and they said it was too long.
why not just name it the Gelly Roll personal mod? or maybe Zebra Comssa? uses a few Zebra brand pens to make. -

Ah that looks pretty cool
How heavy?
And maybe BM Vortex for the name?
You know, Bic and M-301X... -
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 02:10:21
*loving all the feedback* I like the names. I might go with BMVX
-
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 02:14:48
thats the name. right there. i would take that as the name. and mike, the weight is on there at the bottom 24g. heavy i know :\
-
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 02:17:13
just speculating here: if people want a lighter mod, they can just skip the ZT weights and use signo or hgg tips like a metallic comssa. also with the different comssa cap colors and variety of bic bodies, this ends up being a really great versatile and flexible mod.
-
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 02:19:08
Oh man that is pretty heavy.
KT weight isn't it? -
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 02:20:16
Isn't there colored PEN Zebra things?
And ya thats what i just told vuoto instead of the zt weights you could use hgg tips. -
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 02:23:01
i dont think so spencer. and yeah im not gunna put either hgg tips or zebrea things im just gonna put the signos in the cap. i think it should be good.
-
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 02:24:02
Well i have seen a pic of them b4 but like 2 months ago.

yeah I agree. -
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 14:35:02
Well you don't really need the Top Notch grips if the telescopic pieces screw in and stay in.
-
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 14:54:04
i like it
-
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 15:08:03
I like the name BAMF
But i will take a few more names first xD -
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 15:53:51QUOTE (Kool spinz @ Sep 7 2008, 04:36 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>too many pen required
agreed. it must spin like a beast. -
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 16:01:13
looks nice
-
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 16:11:14
Only two things I dislike:
1) the fact that the metal barrels don't meet... Just a personal preference, but I would like to see it just all metal...
2) Cutting a metal barrel... Not so hot on that
I like the fact that the weight can be adjusted in the caps (Just HGG tips, no Signo's or Telescopic caps) and even though the metal barrels don't meet, it does look nice... Spin vid please? -

-

intense. what does the BZ stand for? -
Date: Sun, Sep 7 2008 18:09:40
Despite the number of materials needed to make this mod
I say it is a pretty well-thought out mod -

this is a good mod overall, but there is only one issue i see with this one
the only reason why i would by zebra telescopics would be to make a zt and you cant really have a zt without the end weights so.... idk... thats just me -
Date: Mon, Sep 8 2008 01:59:27
True, but some people might not use the weight on the ends of the ZT.
But then again why would they make a ZT without the good momentum. I still like my mod better than the ZT as in length wise.

Hey what'd you use to cut the metal barrels?
-
Date: Tue, Sep 9 2008 00:51:40
I use pipe cutters (FTW!)
They cut reallly nicely. -
Date: Tue, Sep 9 2008 06:08:30
is there another way to cut the metal barrel cuz i dont have any pipe cutters in my house
-
Date: Tue, Sep 9 2008 09:39:00
I'm still favouring BZ ComSSa Momentum, or Momentum ComSSa as the name.
-
Date: Tue, Sep 9 2008 14:10:02
This is a wonderful looking mod. Nice job! I might be able to make this...
Edit: How about BMX Vortex for the name? (Bic M-301 X Vortex) And it rhymes too! -

Looks more like comssa-ed than vortex-ed -

Well to tell you the truth, the metal barrel is pretty thin and easy to cut. But the pipe cutter is pretty sharp.
