This tutorial is for The SX Mod. The name SX does not stand for the pens used but rather..something else. You guys figure it out. It was a random name and can be changed if anyone has any suggestions. The pens a little long for some people (but can be shortened by cutting) or subbing the parts (hyper jell cap with g3 for example). It was made specifically for me and my big hands. So buzz off about the size.
Oh, and it spins very well. Like a kt, but lighter. And single-sided.
[Name of Pen Modification]: The SX
[Center of Gravity]: COG = COP
[Length in Centimeters]: 22 cm (can be shortened to your liking)
[Weight in relative terms]: Less than a KT, but around there
[Style]: Assymetrical, Write-able
[Estimated cost in United States Dollars(USD) or Euro(€)] 10 dollars? I made this out of spare parts like the ZT tip though.
[Pens Needed]: Hyper Jell Cap (can also be done with a g3 cap to make the SX shorter), Namae Body, Sailor Gel Grip (Or any other grip really...), Comssa Cap, ZT tip, Silicone Gel Grip Tip (this can be subbed with a dr. grip mp tip or pen tip, but the silicone grip tip is lighter, much cheaper, and not as dangerous)
The silicone gel grip is this:
Spoiler:
Well, here goes the tutorial!
Spoiler:
(Optional) Step 7: If you'd like, you can shorten the mod. Just pull of the back plug off the namae and cut off as much of the body as you\'d like and put the backplug back in. Subbing the hyper jell cap for a g3 cap also reduces the size about a cm-ish. -

Looks real good LITS. When I get a namae, I'll be sure to try it. And the Silicon Gel Grip costs $2 just like everything else at Daiso? Hmmm.... Good job!

Nice pen, good use of spare parts. I just don't like how you used that Daiso pen.

The silicone grip tip is basically a dr. grip tip sub. It's almost or just as heavy I believe.
If you can't get the silicone grip tip, use a dr. grip tip. But the silicone grip tip is mucccch cheaper. It's only 1.50 at Daiso. Also, you can use the silicione grip's grip instead of a sailor gel grip if you dont want to waste a sailor gel grip.QUOTEgood use of the ZT tip...i bet a lot of people have a ton of those lying around lol
Lol, yeah, I had to find something to do with my spare ZT parts...

Oh wow nice mod!
Ok I just want to know if there are any other ways to get the silicone gel grip (first time I've ever heard of it xD)
It looks like a way better substitute compared to the Dr Grip (in terms of price, my cheapness must have rubbed off from my dad)
I googled Daiso and found that there's only one store...and thats all the way in BC WTF they should open one in Toronto
EDIT: I go skiing at whistler sometimes could someone tell me if the Daiso is near Whistler? I might drop by in January
Oh yeah and for those people who like heavy pens and have extra ZT parts, you can kind of screw the ZT tip into a signo tip. Its a little loose but it should hold and if you put a grip over it then it will definitely hold - you might have to use a longer grip to keep the tip on the pen though. Oh yeah and that's only if you're pen keeps the tip on with a grip, its not going to work if its an MX or something xD. -

Thanks, and I recommend it. I love how the SX feels. Better than any pen I've spun so far. Just might be hard to get that silicone grip tip. -

Waaaaaay too big for most of the people here. If it was 19 cm, it would be a nice mod (It's stillnice, just way too big.)

I know, but I have big (Eriror-sized) hands. And like I said, you can cut it to your liking. Namae barrels are easy to cut. -

You could use a dr. grip tip in place of the silicione grip tip. It might be a bit front heavy, just file off the sharp part of the dr. grip tip.
And I'd trade you one...but I've never reallly traded before or anything. I get my pens from daiso, walmart, and the college bookstore. :] -

i made one but i found that the ZT tip in the back made it really back heavy :/
I just used an hgg tip and then it was perfectly balanced -

Did you use the silicone grip tip in the front? Its a pretty heavy tip, almost as heavy as a dr. grip tip....

Lighter SX Variation:
Mini-Tut
Materials:
Namae Body (But you could probably do this with any body)
Comssa Cap
RSVP Cap
RSVP Back plug
RSVP Grip
Signo Tip
Sailor Gel Grip or Profile Grip or any other type of grip for the front comssa cap.
Procedure:
1) Stick the signo tip onto the comssa cap. Screw it on, add some tape if you'd like and place a grip over it. Whatever grip you'd like.
2) Stick the signo-tipped comssa cap onto the front of the namae, add some tape so it screws on tighter.
3) Place the RSVP back plug on to the back of the namae, the little black back part of the namae. It goes on pretty easily, just screw it on a bit and it's pretty tight and secure. For extra security, feel free to glue or tape. (Certain RSVP backplugs may be a bit looser)
4) Place the rsvp grip into the rsvp cap (like you would a MX) and place it on to the back of the namae that has the rsvp back plug on it. Goes on pretty nicely.
5) That's it. A lighter SX.
Feel free to comment about the pen/tut. I'll make changes if you'd like.
@Pholord
Sorry this is a bit late, but I've only seen an MP version. I don't know of the pen is any different, but I use the MP version.
@Sian Ing
You can try using a g3 cap. Are you sure you're using the correct Silicone Grip tip? -
