    I'm in a photography class right now, and we frequently have to turn in pics (lol obviously) so this could help me decide what pics to turn in or not lol.
    hopefully im not the only one who posts, and comments for everyones pics are welcome and encouraged smile.gif

    the beach towel one is nice but...
    for some reason i've never liked those "sun glares out everything" type of pics
    the lighting, i mean
    i like bright contrasty stuff

    lol oops i forgot to say that for my class there are specific themes we have to shoot for (...wow...no pun intended, that was bad)
    so if they all seem like they arnt related at all, they all have a reason lol

    Yeah, my dad was a professional photographer like 10 years ago and he did books for the Chilean government. I'll see if I can scan some of his work off of one of the books.

    the only little detail that i dont like is that she kinda looks like she was just pasted in there with photoshop (not because of how here clothes aren't black and white)
    but overall i really like the shot smile.gif

    Tek and I saw this walking to my house and we asked the guy if we could have a quick pic of it lol. its on my cellphone so its not soo great of quality, we just like the car lol.

    You should move to Australia. Some amazing scenery, and you can still see the stars!

    Seriously though, I have seen better then number 1 before. Number 3 stands out. Number 4 is pretty good too.

    Shot yesterday at dusk. Semi-HDRed. The colors got all dulled when I uploaded it though, tried changing the color settings to sRGB and all but it didn't work :/ Here's a comparison to how it's supposed to look

    Thanks Glam and Teq smile.gif I got a system camera (is it even called that?) a couple of months ago but I haven't used it that much yet. I'm getting more and more into it though! I also have a polaroid camera, which is a lot of fun to take photographs with, but since the film is expensive and hard to get I don't use it so often. And when I use it, I often end up getting not all too good pictures, since I don't want to waste several on the same motif tongue.gif

    oh the model right above it (as far as i know) is about 1200 bucks
    the one right below it (again, as far as i know) is about 500

    great camera still
    i love canons lol
    nikon is good too, but i have never had a good experience with Nikon
    my dad doesnt even know i have this.
    he basically forbid me from ever getting a canon camera (he hearts nikon)
    but i disagreed with him and bought it. Not to be a rebel (no pun intended) but because i really really wanted this specific camera lol

    i developed my negatives in a day and printed a film portfolio in a day dry.gif
    basically... this is the crappy one. scratched negatives and bad contrast.. luckily i didn't hand this one in for my project xD

    I have shot with film (a lot sad.gif) and I still forget to set the iso and f stop level correctly!

    its not a bad shot..
    its really washed out... need to adjust the settings.
    and careful with the developer.. it came out kinda splotchy.
    make sure its fully underneather the chemicals.....

    but goodstuf... is he playing actually left handed? or did you put the negatives in backwards? tongue.gif

    useing film is a really fun and interesting way to play around with photos, you can do so many things if you have the right tools.
    and it just feels so much more RIGHT to hold an old-fashioned film camera.

    regarding the blur:
    i tried many many times to get a blurred pic of my spinning... but all the pen would do at higher exposure is disappear
    i think the reason it appeared this way it that the pen slows down at that point of the around, making it appear solid, and then speeds up for the rest of it
    but yea any normal person would see it spinning the other way

    C4D actually. Global illumination really helps make it look realistic, but it really slowed down the render time. had to use an HDR image as a reflection....
    btw, has anyone made an HDR image? I think its some of the best photography possible...

    apparently you need to use more than one picture at different exposures and combine them to make the desired image.....the top one used 9 different exposures to create it....

    Its cool because everything is in focus and you dont really see that a lot because a lot of people just choose a lower f-stop (well just the people I know)
    and how its a lot of different pics in one (of the same thing)
    but idk.....it just looks like someone was trying to hard to make it look nice.
    you know like when you see a spinner do tricks that are pretty hard and it just doesnt look natural for them to do.

    it's just an ollie, but the tail of the board extends past the nose, so the board is hanging out in front of you deck down, with your front foot under the nose
    then you flip it back, the first part is the hard part, pulling it back is no problem
