After months of discussion, we have agreed upon several modifications to the Pens section:

1- Because the Trading section is the only PS-related section where "empty" posts are allowed, this section will not increment post count anymore. Furthermore, the bump limit has been decreased to 3 days, but we will try to enforce more strictly now. http://www.upsb.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=231. If you want to see more threads listed on a single page, go to My Controls > Board Settings > "Number of topics to show for each forum page".

2- Cleaning up Show Off Your Pens: We will start cleaning the thread. We clean for text only comments and broken image links. Once this is done, we will prune comments every month or so.

3- Mod tutorials: Two new sections added: Tutorials Pending Approval and Approved Tutorials. You will post your tutorials in the Pending section and moderators will move them to the approved section if your tutorial follows the guideline and the mod is good. DO NOT POST TUTORIALS IN THE GENERAL PEN MODS SECTION ANYMORE. If you do, your thread will be moved to the pending section and could be warned for it. Of course we will move the old tuts to the corresponding sections.

    More changes to come...

did you ever consider making some interface for trading? (only like submit, search, sort and stuff like that, it seems simple =/)

and for cleaning up SOYP thread, will you start cleaning it from now on, or will you clean everything?

the plan is to clean the whole thread, and when that is done, we leave new comments for a month before getting deleted

trading interface, this will have to be forwarded to xshadowfire.

    Sounds nice.
But why not allow bumping once in 24 hours? The number of times you bump to much would be multiplied by 24 and your thread would remain closed for that period of time.

locking usually means the thread is dead or the user is a scammer, so i dont think its a good idea because nobody will trade with u if ur thread is locked. plus they would just make a new thread

Well you could change the thread title to "LOCKED FOR OVERUSED BUMPING" or so :> But anyways it's good as it is.

if everybody bumps it kinda doesn't matter then =/ since your bumped thread will be lost in all the bump (lolwut)

another nice thing about this is that it's easier to find tutorials now since the section isnt cluttered with locked threads anymore
