How do i make it? Do they use dong-a black caps? or keityo caps? Because if it uses keito caps, i have to buy 2 pens, which are expensive($3 a piece) + $8 of Dr.Grip Tips + sailor gel's

instead of dr grips? -

If you can find a tip that fits. Read the Dr. Grip substitutes wiki article to see if you can find any of the mentioned pens, or find your own.

I just made a Dr. KT mod, and the end where the smaller back cap initially was is giving me some issues.
The cap will sometimes slide off while spinning.
What can I do to keep it on without making it permanent? -
Date: Thu, Jan 10 2008 00:44:38
dont remove the backplug, it doesnt affect anything except making it stay on better

How heavy is the DR KT?
-
Date: Fri, Jan 25 2008 08:23:53
somewhere between 17.4-17.8 grams, i don't remember exactly how much when xero had last weighed his
but then again, that's kinda useless to know..
just know that it's really heavy compared to other mods xD -

I was wondering how heavy my own personal mod of the bictory is compared to a Dr KT
My Papermate "Bictory" is made of:- 1 Papermate Kilometrico Barrel
- 2 Papermate Kilometrico Caps
- 2 Back plugs from some pen I found
- 2 Signo Tips
- 2 G2 Grips

Substitute Body- Pentel Color Twin(these also come with cap substitutes)
- Person's
- Pentel RSVP body(Tutorial by K4S)
- Miffy&Melanie(comes with substitute caps)
- Dong-A Computer Sign Pen body
Hints/Troubleshooting:
If the cap tends to slip off push harder down, it should make 2 click sounds, that's a way to confirm it's tightly on there.
If that doesn't help resort to taping the barrel so that the cap fits sungly and won't slide when spinning.
Getting injured while spinning? Replace the tips or don't spin it at all, use a Ballsign ;p
I am not liable for any injuries caused by Dr. KT

i think alot of ppl think kt's are nooby cuz its so heavy. nothing really is "nooby", its all opinion, but yes...dr kt is pretty dam expensive, its like 25 bucks for materials
-
Date: Sun, Apr 6 2008 07:53:19
I'd get a KT, but it's pretty expensive...
-
Date: Sun, Apr 6 2008 10:13:23
simple KT is not expensive
in dr KT mod the most expensive are tips(dr Grip) ;/ -

Is it just me or is the Dr. KT insanely difficult to spin? I have a hard time doing thumbspins, shadows, anything that involves top spin. The body is too light and the ends are VERY heavy. It always ends up whipping out of my hand into someones face and stabbing them in the forehead with the sharp tips.
I'm used to Bictories which have lots of weight in the tube. My favorite pen is a Bic Soft Feel tube, with Bic Grip ends, regular bic stick ink tubes and caps, and Bic Velocity mech pencil grips. (tutorial coming soon)A true BiCtory! its ugly but handles really well. The grips make it quite bouncy when it hits the desk and its a lot quieter than any pen with metal tips. The bic soft feel tube makes the pen feel like you're using devil sticks. -

@CudOfCow: all u need is to get used to it...
i know thats wierd in the begining, but after a day or two spinning u should get used to it
i personally dont have a KT but i have some pretty heavy-sided pens, and it just took me awhile to get used to it
after awhile u can rly understand how good is that -

Well I've looked around at some articles but couldn't really find the answers I'm looking for. So say I were to build a Dr.KT and I wanted either a silver or white body with dual green grips and caps. So I'd grab myself a KT for the silver body, and the question is, do M&M caps fit on the KT body? Because I could easily order a couple green ones to match the grips. Also, as for a white body, I know the M&Ms are white, so is it possible to remove the text and little pictures from it? Also whats the weight and length difference from a KT body?

Keityo markers are the same as colortwin markers which are the same as Miffy and Melanie markers. So you can interchange them all. -

The cap will sometimes slide off while spinning.
What can I do to keep it on without making it permanent?
maybe try Teflon tape?
