I've never seen anyone do this trick that i taught myself . Its sort of like a thumbaround without the thumb lol. the pen starts parrallel to the thumb, pressed up against it, with the ends near your wrist and the top of the thumb. you push the thumb and middle finger (whch is pressing the pen against the thumb) together, and the pen does a 180 spin on the thumb's shaft or knuckle- nad completes a 180. u can then contnue to spin it time after time.

does this trick have a name?
can anyone tell me if they've seen it done b4 or if u need more of a desciption i can post a video of it..?

    thanks

It sounds like a Fingerless thumbaround.
But the "u can then contnue to spin it time after time." makes it sound like a thumbspin. The pen spins on top of the thumb.

Do you mean that you start with the pen being held to the outside of the Thumb with the Middle finger, then it spins 180 degrees on the outside of the Thumb, to be caught again between the Thumb and Middle finger? That would be a Side Spin 0.5 T2-T2. Depending on how your hand is positioned, you may also call it a Top Spin 0.5 T2-T2.

Sounds like a halftap done with the middle finger to me.

its not a halftap. its like a half tap, but u start with the pen on the opposite side of the thumb and push with the middle finger. it will then spin like a halftap would have it do, in reverse though.

ahh thanks, i searched side spin on youtube and its almost exclty the same. i just start it closer to the outside of the thumb, and use only the middle finger. i think with where i start it, it can be more easily spun continually.thanks

That's not a SideSpin, this is a SideSpin. Video by Flip, taken from the Rare Tricks List thread. I'd say it's like Inv Shadow Rev 0.5 12-12.

I beg to differ....your video is side spin 12-12. The video i posted is side spin T2-T2. Both spins are exactly the same imo, just applied to different fingers.

I'd like to add that my "Floating Passaround" is really a Side Spin, which is also a Side Spin 0.5 T2-T2 or a Inverse Shadow Reverse XX-XX

    Don't you love synonyms? happy.gif
