Regular Pen Discussion / Real or fake Dr.Grip?

I just got a Dr.Grip at some dollar store and was wondering if it's real or not. Costed me $2 Canadian.
Can you tell me if this is a real Dr.Grip or a fake one?

Wow, if anyone wants to know, its in the Scarborough region near Middlefield and Steeles. Its in that dollar store close to T&T
And the tips are about as heavy as the Aspire pen tips. So I'm guessing it may be real -

??? cause there are some cheap knock offs of the dr. grip that have an extremely cheap light tip
if it's heavy, it's most likely real

for all those interested, I found whitish/semi transparent dr. grips at target for 1.75 a piece.

Ina sense it DOES look real but when you look at it really closely (so close your eyes touch the screen) the grip kinda looks a bit cheap but hey who knows? Good find even if it is fake.

I think that 'cheap' bit of the grip is actually dust.
I dunno ... but it looks pretty real to me. =]
Do you have a Dr. Grip that you're sure it's a Dr. Grip? 'cos you can compare the weight and length of the 2.. -

Yes, it looks very real, only thing you'll have to determine is if the tip is metal of plastic. As for some people saying its a pen, well yes it is a retractable pen, which in my opinion, is better than the mech pencil ones because you cant stab yourself with the pen tips and they're just as heavy.

There might be fashion clothes that are fake, with the brand name printed on it and all, but pens? It just, doesn't exist. Pens that look quite similar, but that are crappier and made by a different brand, sure. But if it says "Pilot Dr. Grip" on a pen, it is a Dr Grip. Fake branding for pens doesn't exist, yet.

Anyone know if it's safe to buy Dr. Grips on flea bay? One is from a seller who sells nothing but pens and refills. About $4 if you buy over 7. Ebay is flooded with fake Mach3 razors from China and I've been burnt a few times so now I'm leary of buying anything from ebay. I don't want to be giving out fake pens for Christmas.

If its at a Dollar Tree and it has the bran on it its real.
If you guys dont know how dollar tree works then read this:
Dollar Tree buys the crap that the bigger stores stopped selling(at at lower price) because they cant or they have something better. Because they buy in large amounts, Dollar Tree is able to sell crap for a dollar each. Its all real unless, like SFSR said, it has a different name. ie Storyballs, Penplus3000.
BTW, one of the Dollar Trees in Santa Ana carries RSVP Cubix and Moons 3 packs. -
