OK so i got a Pilot Dr.Grip Shaker (jap) and a Airblanc from penwish. i finally got it in the mail and wrote with it for the first time ( i do that with all my pens) and i realize somthing. The lead was SOOOOOOO smooth!! i tried it with both pencils and they were both 100 times more smooth than any other pencil. im pretty sure i has to do w/ the led o.0 Can anyone tell me what led it is?

PS my shaker has .5mm and my airblanc has .3mm

    hm.. happens to me sometimes.

Im not sure if its the lead or the pencil itself. Sometimes i think it's the pencil but it doesnt sound right lol.

I've got a dr grip and a random mech pencil but the mech pencil writes nicer than my dr grip.

I've never had a shaker, but my pencils' smoohtness depends on what paper im using

Now that you've mentioned it, I think it depends on the paper too.

A little doubt though cause I remember trying both the dr grip and my other pencil once and they wrote differenly on the same sheet of homework.

There are good quality leads and bad quality leads, just like cheap ballpoints and expensive fountain pens.

In general, I've found Made in China lead to be inferior to Made in Japan lead.

that does make sense since they were made in japan lol

Breaks down to lead quality, and the paper you're writing on. If you buy a quality pencil, it's likely to come with quality lead and therefore write smoother.

The same does not hold for pens though...i swear one of the smoothest pens i write with is the cheap 20 cent bic stics.

    -Led

    -Paper

    -Table you're writing on

-Shape of pen/cil (A slender shape perhaps?)

    I don't know actually

Profiles are pens. We're talking about pencils. Plus, I love my Dr Grip American, such smooth lead and writing too. ^^
