TOPIC:
BUSTER CYLS. GOOD OR BAD?
most of you probably know that the buster CYL mod by spinnerpeem is heavier, longer, and has more momentum than a kt.
This is a good thing- it means more ease for me in fliming my combos
however, im afriad ill get stuck to this mod and not be able to spin even a kt(which feels light by comparism)
Your opinions guys? -

I would not use the Buster CYL because it's almost like cheating by using so much momentum. Anyways, if you can spin a ballsign and look like Bonkura, your probably better than someone who can spin a Buster CYL and look like Bonkura.
The rest is just personal preference. It enhances smoothness, but slows down speed. Stay away from it if your a beginner... -

When I judge how well someone spins, I take in these three things first:
1) Smoothness
2) Style
3) Creativity
I personally look at speed last. Someone can have a really cool looking style, spin very smoothly, be very creative, but spin very slowly(ex. Pyralux). So yes, the Buster CYL does slow you down, but personally, I think it shouldn't matter too much, unless you're trying to copy one of Dongza's combos. Spinning a heavy pen fast just looks awkward...Some people like Cienki can spin a KT well and fast.
However, hoiboy is right in the sense that it does make you look very smooth while spinning.
Now a bit more on topic:

A "shaker" is a mechanical pencil that allows you to advance the lead by simply shaking the pencil.

Yes. In pen terms, thats the only meaning shaker has.
How it works:
There's a small and loose piece inside the barrel that moves up and down when you shake it.
It hits against some part of the mechanical pencil mechanism and forces the lead out.
It's a little noisy though but you dont have to push the back of the pencil to advance the lead. It kinda reminds me on how some people shake their ballpoint pens when their ink run out.

BusterCYL:
Ok thats the reason why you should start off with light pens. If you start off with heavy pens, you'll get used to heavy pens and you gotta find an even heavier pen when learning advanced tricks. BusterCYL is heavier than a Dr. KT and for people who have started with Dr KTs, they can use the bustercyl.
It slows you down cause your hand isn't used to using a heavy mod as you tend to not use as much force when doing tricks with a lighter mod. It boosts smoothness cause of the momentum and after you got the momentum going, the pen flows through your fingers and you don't have to use as much force as to get the pen going. In all, it's all about the transition between how much strength you use to push your pen. If you use the same force throughout your combo, your pen will spin faster and faster due to the momentum pushing it more. With a light pen and little momentum, this transition is not needed.
I've not tried it so I'm not sure if it makes spinning better but i suppose it does. In the end, its up to you to judge whether it suits you. SpinnerPeem likes the mod and you cannot say that it's because of it that he's good and without it, he's nothing. If he likes it then he can use it. People think he's good with it and they like his spinning.

First off, momentum and weight are completely different.
I could make a Dr. KT and shove a lead stick inside, and it would feel heavier when held. That would be weight.
With most heavy pen mods, the weight is on the ends, which makes it feel heavy when spun. That is the momentum. But if you were to add weight in the middle, the momentum will be gone. -

Just a heads up, but this tut will never get anywhere without actual pictures, so yeah. If you do decide to release it, please add pictures to the tutorial.
A few things:
1. The hyperjell cap: declip it, it's looking rather ugly
2. Move the pentel eraser grip to the very front. -

A lot better than the 1337 MX.
The only two things I would would say are:
1) De-clip the Hyperjell clip. It's going to get in the way when spinning.
2) The grip on the front looks a bit awkward.
To improve the front, either:
1) Use a different color for the shorter DX grip.
2) Use a Laknock grip or something to cover up the longer DX grip.
Other than that, looks a lot better than your other mods.

Heavier than IMX? hm.. IMX is heavy already lol.
And 4 Signo DX is alot and expensive here.
When making a mod and releasing a tut, you have to ask yourself why people would want to make that pen and actually go out shopping and use money to buy specific parts for that mod and spending the time making it.

Yeah, if you're a beginner it wouldn't do much to help...everything will feel like a straw. I was lucky that I got rid of my Dr. KT obsession. Now, I can spin anything light to semi-heavy (Cheat Comssa). The one thing I can't spin is the Buster CYL (too heavy)
@Ast3R01d: I would recommend you spin a metallic Comssa for the time being...wait a couple more months before getting a Buster CYL.

Like the seven, impact, i just found out about the f1r3fly (or however you spell his name) mod and i still dont have the stuff for a good ayatori mod...
Anyways... Onto the main topic.
Is there any possible way to do an inverse sonic with a non-piano fingered, attached-ring-and-pinky hand?
I think I'd have a better time learning the flush sonic. -

the ayatori imo isnt that good, and i still have yet to try out the SEVEN, and f1r3fly. they look really nice and should spin well.
inv. sonic w/out stuck 34? practice. i dont know anyother way. you could try having your pinky follow your middle finger, but it'll take a while. -

SEVEN mod is kind of decent, depending on the way you make it. Personally, I don't like it, but it remains the best single-sided mod I've ever spun (Double-sided mod spinner here)
To make it spin best, you need to:
1) Use a Japanese Jimmie cap and sand off the nub
2) Balance it out with aluminum tape
In short, you get the momentum of an Ayatori, minus 0.5 g on both sides, with the spinnability of a double-sided mod because of the absence of a nub on the cap. It's very good for busting. -

My thoughts about pens:
1. If Vic/Peem/Supawit is using a Buster, I have no concerns. They're good, they know what they are doing, etc.
2. If newb111 uses a Buster, something's wrong. Seriously.
Buster = stick
On another thought, mods are by preference. Hence the term personal mod. -
