    1. Sub-forums for each forum that contains locked topics so that people can go in there to check if that topic's already been created or something...

    2. The search feature that searches only the topic/forum/subforum etc.

    3. "Ban until" requests or somthing...

    1. That would only work for threads that already have locked counterparts, some threads don't. Search would be more useful

    2. To search just the topic, use the search bar at the bottom left of the topic. You can search individual forums by clicking search then 'More search options'.

    3. I don't really get this one

For 3 i think she means like have them banned for a certain time but then unbanned. Basically like a suspension.

    isn't that a temporary ban?

    yeah i dont get 3
    searchbar can already do 2...
and like rorix said, some threads dont have noob recreations of them. it would be counterproductive, i think, because someone might go into it, say oh, there's no show off your pens thread in here, and go make one >>

I think what Kari-Chan means by the 3rd one is that if someone wants to be banned (ie. from the shoutbox, so they can concentrate on homework and stuff), a moderator can do it for them. I think she's saying that if there was an "official" thread for such requests, it would be more organized.

I think the person would just have to learn self control.

what i meant by the first one eg. is the number of topics that i see in the pen modification that newbies ask "What pen should i use" or something so if there is a subforum that contains the locked topics, they would see that that topic has already been created so... they can go and check why it was locked etc.

    i dont think it works

if ppl are too lazy to search for the real thread, why would they be not lazy enough to search for locked threads.

    no

there's no good reason someone wants to delete an account
