The Better Mod

Stats:
Length- 17 cm
Weight- Nearly the weight of a Namae
COG- .5 CM off the COP (This can be changed by extending the mod [slightly] and applying a few extra Grips)
Style- Single-Sided, Retractable
Est. Cost- 15$ or Less (Most people will have most of the items in their spare parts)

I'm not Being pretentious its the real name of the pen my friends, I recently discovered this pen on another one of my random Rite-Aide raids And after some elaboration I Created the Better Mod.

The Pen Is a very simple Build as long as your good with tape and a small tooth saw.

-Dr. Grip (grip)

Pre-Steps:
Take the Grip and Tip off the Impact RT, the Back tubing of the G-2, The HGG Grip (Cut off the lower ring, It gets in the way), Cut your Dr. Grip to about 1.4 cm , Disassemble the BETTER retractable.

Step 1 - Take your BETTER Retractable pen, Remove the Metal tip, Ink From the pen. And VERY CAREFULLY use your Needle nose pliers to remove the Back Cap. (This will take a lot of force and might result in breakage. There Is a slight bump that hold the cap In place this Broke on my first one but will still leave an indentation, The Pen will have difficulty working if the Cap is not place in that exact position)

Step 2 - Take your G-2 Pen And Unscrew and disassemble the pen. Then forcibly remove the back tube You will get a Part the looks kinda like a hose Nozzle, that end is where the Impact tip is placed. You Can now Cut the Barrel to whatever length you like.Just make sure its short enough to fit the Impact Grip. (3.4 Cm is the size I did [on the line])

Step 3 - Now take your Tip less Better Pen and wrap enough layers to fit the G-2 Pen tube piece, And Place it on To Fit Snugly but able to be removed to adjust the size of the ink tube later on.

Step 4 - Remove the clip from the back Cap and File down the excess Plastic (No worries the grips cover the bumps)

Step 5 - Take the G-2 Nozzle and Place enough tape around the open area until it is the same thickness of the tubing, Take your Impact Tip And Screw (hammer, fit, etc.)

Step 6 - Take your Tooth Pick an Place it into the back end of the Ink tube, And Cut the toothpick to about the size of 12.5 cm, Place this in your pen With the Spring followed by the New G-2 impact tip. If the Ink Sticks out: Cut the toothpick a little; If you click it and it doesn't Come out: then place a new toothpick and attempt a different size.

Step 7 - Apply the Profile then Impact Grip to the pen, Make Sure that you cover the lower half of the Tip, and the take your HGG Grip and Place it on the back of the Pen. Take the two profile grips and Dr. Grip and place over the HGG.

DONE!!

It looks pretty nice...only problem i can see is that people usually have a difficult time getting a hold of pilot better retractable pens.

They Are relatively cheap and easy to find, I have acttually seen this pen a few times before In other colors even. So I Can Reckon that most US PSers can find it.

I Get my Impacts from Staples, Rite Aide, And Ralphs.

You could use 2 RSVP Grips rather than an HGG.

i see on the completed mod that there is dr grip grip there but it is not included in the tutorial in the materials.

This mod looks pretty nice. People might not like the feel of the Better retractable barrel because of the shape.

Overall very nice, and it's retractable!
