We need to decide on the general layout of the system of naming tricks.
Currently, the accepted layout:
(Modifier) (Trick Name) (Direction) (number of spins) (starting position)-(ending position)
In the system of naming of tricks with variable number of spins, the notation for the number of spins is required. Where do we locate the notation then? Currently, there are people placing the notation both right before and right after the trick name, ie, ThumbSpin 1.5 and 1.5 ThumbSpin. I believe there's a need for us to find a permanent location for the notation.

Isn't the convention (modifier) (trick name) (direction [as in Normal or Reverse]) (starting position)-(ending position)) ???

I think the number of spins should come after the trick name. Isn't it really just part of the trick name anyway? Shadow 2.5 Reverse makes more sense to me that Shadow Reverse 2.5 or 2.5 Shadow Reverse.

actually, it makes more sense for the rotation to be put at the end because it is often the less important item in a trick description.
there's very little execution different for varying spin except the amount of time you let it spin,
that's you why you should put it at the very end, to complete the description of the trick. -

I added in (number of spins) where it is usually put.
@Zombo: are you thinking of it being like:
Shadow Normal 23-23 2.0 ? -

nah i usually say the spin before the slots... cuz i think that the opening slot can be deduced from previous trick, and the ending slot flows directly into the next trick, so it makes more sense to put right before the next trick.
therefore the slot at the end is the best.
