    Elite Stic

    ~

There are many people out there who say that they aren't fans of a BIC body. I have to agree with them on that. But when spinning this particular mod, it doesn't feel like its a BIC body. It may be just me, but thats the impression i get. It has a very nice amount of momentum for the length of the mod. Not too much or or too little. Try this mod out. You won't be dissapointed with this BIC mod.

*I appologize for not having pictures for this tutorial. I will try to get pictures up when i get more of the pieces necessary for a tutorial. If the tutorial is confusing with out pictures, feel free to PM me with any questions, or leave a reply asking the question.

    [COG]: COP
    [Length]: 20.1cm
[Weight]: Grip Aviaire > Elite BIC
    [Style]: Double-Sided
    [Writing Mechanism]: N/A
    [Ink Type]: N/A
    [Estimated Cost]: $10 - $12

    ~

    [Materials List]:

    [1x]: BIC Round Stic (body)
[2x]: BIC Round Stic Grip ('grip' and body piece that the 'grip' was on)
    [2x]: Papermate Flexgrip Elite (tips)
[2x]: Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip (tips and grips)

    [1x]: Cutting Device
    [1x]: Superglue
    [1x]: Teflon Tape (optional)

    ~

    Spoiler:

    1) Gather your materials.

    2) Gut the BIC Round Stic body so that the ink and the back cap are removed. From the two BIC Round Stic Grips, take the 'grips' and the body pieces that had the grips on them. From the Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip, removed and keep the two grips and tips. From the Papermate Flexgrip Elites, remove and keep the tips.

    3)
On the two body pieces of the BIC Round Stic Grip, cut the fronts off of them. The fronts, refering to the sloped part, the part that had held the tip of the inktube. None of the cylindrical part should be cut. The cut should be made right at the base of that sloped part.

    4) Insert the thread portion of the Papermate Flexgrip Elite into one end of the BIC 'grip'. In the other end, push in one of the Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip tips all the way inside until the tip of that tip is inside the Papermate Flexgrip Elite tip. If you are experienceing resistance and a tiny bit of warp on the BIC 'grip', that is normal and ok. Repeat this step with the other BIC 'grip', Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip tip and Papermate Flexgrip Elite tip.

    5) Put the Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip grips on the BIC Round Stic Body with the rings facing inward. push them away from the ends of the barrel for the time being.

    6) Put the cut end of the BIC Round Stic Grip body piece in the open end of the BIC 'grip', securing it with superglue. Repeat this step with the other BIC Round Stic Grip body piece and BIC 'grip'.

    7) Insert the unmodified BIC Round Stic Grip body into an open end of the BIC Round Stic body. Push it all the way so that the BIC 'grip' meets the BIC Round Stic body. Repeat this step with the other end of the BIC Round Stic Body and the BIC 'grip'.

    8) Push the Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip grips right up so that they meet with the rim of the Papermate Flexgrip Elite tips.

    9) You have just made an Elite BIC

    ~

    [Other Options]:

A - If you only have Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip tips and no grips, you can use Pilot G2 or Papermate Profile grips.

B - If you want to use a clear BIC Round Stic body, just cut the unmodified end of the BIC Round Stic Grip body piece long enough so that it still goes in the BIC Round Stic body, but the Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip grip covers it.

C - You can use Papermate Flexgrip Ultra tips inplace for the Papermate Flexgrip Elite Tips. You could even use Zebra Telescopic tips if at all necessary.

D - If the BIC 'grip' bleeds through the Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip grip, wrap the BIC 'grip' in a thin layer of teflon tape very tightly. Be careful when sliding the Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip grip on the BIC 'grip' so that the teflon doesnt bunch up.

So it's basically an R-Stic kinda thing, with different tips and grips... dry.gif
Not the PDS R-Stic, but the kind thnikk made a tut for.

Personally that is what i was thinking Sankaku..

I mean..sure its not the exact same thing, but pretty close too it in my opinion..the only two things that are different are the grips and tips..

But it still looks rather nice..easy to do and pens are (somewhat) easily accessible smile.gif

Lol, cool i made something very close to that out of randomness a long time ago. Pure momentum (or at least it was for me).

Yea I'm also agreeing with Sankaku, just different tips and grips, you made accommodations for said tips but it's essentially the same thing.

Alright, I want you to look at how an r stic is made and read through this tutorial. If ur smart, you will realize that they don't use the same grips or tips and that they aren't even made the same way!!!!! Jesus Christ.....

If ur smart you would realize that we are aware of this but it still doesnt change the fact that this mod is quite similar to the r stic

that still doesnt mean that its a subbed r stic. you can say that a seven mod is like a kuzu mod because they are both made with g3 body and a hyperjell cap. but in reality, they arent because the tips are different and the gripping is different.

  16. CPM8
    Date: Wed, Nov 26 2008 23:55:41

Umm... because they should be actually called:
"G3 mod: Seven specification" and "G3 mod: kuzu specification" but people are too lazy to call them that.
So, this should probably be called : "American R-stic: Guitrum Specification" Since...
A ) This is Thnikk's R-stic made with American parts
B ) Guitrum way of making it

    >.< The real names of those mods are G3 mod (Insert spinners name) preference, don't try and bring that argument here. Why are you having such a hard time with admitting this mod is practically a sub to thnikk's R-stic, please get the stick out of your ass about this mod.

First off, kuzu mod and seven arent new mods. Theyre variations from the orginal G3 mod whatever that was. GJH i think. They have different grips and tips and are similar in some way.

Your "new" mod is a variation of an rstic. All you did was change the grips and tips like a G3 mod into a SEVEN mod. Not new.

It still has the same structure as an R stic. It may not be EXACTLY like one but its not anything new.

cuz it isnt practically a sub to the r stic! so stfu

dont ask for a tutorial if ur just gonna claim it to be something its not. its a waste of my time

Hold up here, Im not calling this mod an r stic sub because its obviously not. The base construction is a different than the r stic HOWEVER the end result is almost the same so it is SIMILAR mod. IMO, those calling this an r stic are wrong. Do not equate this with JEB mods that have stacked grips and tips

What Im saying about this mod is that its nothing spectacular and if I liked bic based mods at all I would probably make thnikk's r stic instead.
