What do your friends say about your modded pens that you bring to school? (If you bring them to school) 'cause I have like, weird problems w/ my friends taking my pens and asking me funny questions about them. I usually get requests for me to make them for people. Then I don't know what to say or how to politely refuse 'cause I don't have enough D: 'cause they kinda look at me like, "You're so greedy, it's just a pen -gives me cuteye-"

just say you have to go to a secret school to learn how to make these pens and that making your friend one would result in your pen sansei to come and cut your head off. don't tell people the truth... make up stories or make a joke. it distracts people

Well, most people don't really say anything. When I spin in front of them and then show them my pen, they say "this is a long ass pen!" My mom and other people have taken my MX and tried to write with it.
As for making pens for other people, while I could get the parts necessary, and they can pay me, I generally don't like doing it. So far, I have had to make 2 pens for the same guy cause he lost the first one. It bugs me when someone loses their pen or breaks it. I also made 2 other pens for 2 different guys, but they don't really spin, so it feels like a waste. -

I have big hands, an 18cm pen/pencil looks quite normal when i use it. No one has ever really commented about my lengthy pen mods.

None of those write... that is THEEE main purpose of a pen. Not spinning. Pens are an invention for writing. If i took a shit load of pens and made a car out of the parts, no one would call it a pen, or if i made a model submarine out of pen parts that was capable of a TA... come on. Even some mods like a bictory, that writes on both sides is still a bit odd with grips and tips. So, when at school, I will spin a PEN. Not a product of todays penspinning conventions. But when I am at my house or with friends that spin or know me... i use what evers best! -

ah.. my mods are double-capped markers or ballsigns, so it MAY draw attention, though i usually can stop random people from paying attention to me and just leave me in peace.
if they ask anything, i'll say 'its a pen. you may have heard of such instruments. they write.'
then in a lower voice:'of course its also hollow, so i can smuggle my drugs. and the tip is sharp and injects cyanide into anyone i stab!'
they'll either laugh and since i've broken the ice i can then talk freely with them, or they'll give a glare and walk away. either way i WIN! -

Mostly, it is slight interest. They will hold the mod and turn it around in their fingers, then give it back. :shrug:
Not much more than that. Now that I use the kick-ass Hybrid Comssa MX
I don't get any comments, I doubt anyone notices anything special about it. -

i spin bictorys in school so i can write, and i taught my friends how to make them, and they try to spin and it goes flying buy they mostly use them to write. my teacher even has one, and he uses it like crazy

At first they found it a little weird. Questions like "Haha, how many pens do you have?", and "Where did you but that pen?" were heard often. Now basically everyone I know is used to me and my pens though, and many find them interesting instead of weird.

first of all, you worded your post wrong.
you like to spin ONE-SIDED pens, and avoid double capped.
and why didn't you just say you spin unmodded pens than making it more difficult for yourself...

What i really hate is when they take double capped mods like a commsa and pull off the cap. >< that pisses me off. They did that to my rsvp mx and msxa T.T. So sad, they made it loose.
And yes the questions they ask are annoying i must admit.

I love how people say they use MX's at school because they look like real pens. I dont know how you guys somehow justify that writing with the back of the pen instead of the metal tip doesnt look just as as weird as someone using a double sided pen
And to keep things on topic, I love using bictories for the 2 colors. Occasionally someone will ask what im using because they want one too so i end up just giving them a free bictory since they're so cheap. -

I fill down the tip of the RSVP to make the inktube come down the HGG tip, then I put a little piece of a toothpick on the back of the inktube.

My friends in college have the similar responses like yours. I only bring 1 bictory which made from round stic grip when i go to class. 2 or 3 of them at first thought my pen was "like that" when i bought it but when i said i made it, 1 of them was,"Huh? You made it? It looks cute." When i heard that i was "huh? cute (O.o)?". lol. I hope i could make a one-sided mod so i wouldn't get too much attention when i spin with modded pen but mostly one-sided mod that i like, i dont have the part(s).

haha em...If you have a rsvp(or something similar) and some grips and tips you can make something like an HCMX but with a bic round stic instead...that's what i did with mine and it's great to spin with at schoool...eh i think people like bictoryies sometimes because it's double sided but doesn't look like a baton or wand(a few grip will do)
eh 2 of my friends asked if I could make them some...i refused cause I had a hard time taking the back plug and...to make many?but now I could make some for them cause I found the plier method better and easier... -

Those are the only pens i usually bring to school, not the bictory i dont have one to lazy to make one. A lot of people ask these 2 questions "Do you make pens everyday?" or the usual "thts a hella long pen". A lot of people like to take it or ask for it then examine it, a lot of girls just examine the pen and ask more questions, when it comes to guys(you kno we all have the need to destroy or take things apart) it either breaks, or they take it apart and dissasemble parts tht i cna only fix at home like tips, retractable parts, etc. -

haha. I got the same thing after making my new ARMX <3 so I made the hole in the cap bigger and instead connected two pieces of ink tube together with a tiny piece of toothpick in the middle
I think it's kinda better this way, so if the anyball thing comes off, your hgg cap doesn't pop out w/ it.

I'm literally the only American who spins in my school, besides these two other Korean kids who spin with plain dr.grips. Most of the kids in my school either don't care or laugh at me (jocks what can you do -.-) It gets annoying until the point were i just don't care. They are like "when you get home is all yo do mod pens." I reply with no i mod pens and play video games, and all the other nerdy things i do, if someone calls me a nerd for doing this i just don't mind because it helped me get off my bad habit of literally eating erasers.( i know disgusting sheesh...) Well i stopped that and now i just drop my pen in class a lot (lol). Well anyway that just my 8th grade pen spinning experience. Oh btw I've been spinning 2 months and have only an MX made with a HGRoller not grip anyway bye

Most of my friends will ask to borrow it from time to time and then I look retarded when I go digging for another pen. Other than that most people think its pretty cool. Also, since I've bought my comssa v10. s people have been noticing that the grip color on the ends changes pretty much daily.
Oh, and lol, once somebody tried to ERASE?! with the anyball grip on my comssa. I was like WTF B***H WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY PEN!!! -

yesterday, i had a field trip, so i brought my BICtory to spin on the bus(hour-plus ride). i dropped it inbetween me and my friend, he picked it up and started to spin, i was like woahhhh, since nobody really notices me spin.
i normally am in the back of the class, cause i have an 's' last name. then i dropped it in a church. i couldnt find it, and he was praying with holy water, and he found it. he was excited cause his prayers were answered and i was excited cause my pen was found. but yea, he likes pen spinning i think.... -

one is spinning hgg²-se
several others use german "tintenkiller" mods
and I use a comssa retractable and mitsubishi pencil mod!
the only think that the others find wired is the price ^^ "WTF? you payed 10€ for ONE SINGLE PEN?" -

One of my friends has a bic pen (un-modded) and saw my bictory. he took the cap off one side and put it back on, tne took off the other cap on the other side and said like how the heck did it do that? not realizing the pen was double sided (he never tried taking both the caps off at once before i showed him)

Most of my mods look relatively "normal" sometimes people ask me why my pen is so long, and I just say "its easier to spin" and they just say "oh" and thats about it.
the funny thing is, people see me spinning, and the first thing they ask me is "how do you do that?", "can you teach me?", and "do you play the drums?". -

I lost my RSVP MX last week, and today I found it at my work place's small litter bin which the cashier is using.
Someone actually found it and mix it with those regular pens, and today the cashier tried using it and she though it's spoiled, so she threw it away, and luckily I spotted it. And I told her that she threw away my pen, and I showed her my MX. She told me is spoiled, and I told her is modded and it is specialize for spinning.
She was so shock, haha... And replied, " tell me more about it"

I get strange looks sometimes when people see my pull out my pen to write with, super BICtory or a Dr.RSVP. If someone asks me for a pen to write with, I'm rather reluctant to hand my pen over. If they beg enough I'll hand them one. Although when they get the pen they are confused. They spend more time looking at it in amazement rather than using it for writing. They either
1) drool
2) ask where I bought it
3) wonder how to get it to write
4) try to take it apart
5) wave it like a wand and say something from Harry Potter
6) try to pen spin...and fail horribly -

Actually one of my classmates showed me my first pen spinning vid
Then I started spinning and now that guy who showed it to me spins too(well, not so much anymore and I think he has stopped spinning)
My friends know I'm a pen spinner (at least most of them know) so thay don't really say that much. Many of my class mates have started spinning, but I think they spin only in school because they learn slow (and I think some of them has stopped). Some of them try to make random mods out of things they find at school so they don't really use so good mods. But those my classmates who don't spin usually say something like: "why are you spinning your pen? that's the most stupid thing I know" or "why you pay that much for some PEN which doesn't even write?". If they say I don't have life, I'm just spinning my pen, I say that they don't have because thay play WoW (World of Warcraft) about 4-7 hours per day then they speak about it everyday and that sucks
