And yeah the world tournament is individual, world cup is a team event.

Really? I have a lot of confidence in minwoo (his linkage is creative and hard), and he did score the highest in the Asia Cup. But yeah, i don't know if he'd stand a chance against a monster like s777 (but who can?).

IMO SEVEN has got this...S777 has more skill over him but it seems like he totally lacks creativity in his vids imo....and I honestly don't think Spinnerpeem has a snowballs chance in hell
but then again...This is the world tourney....everyone has been saving up for this so we really have no idea who could pull it out......

Seven? Really I'd put money on him losing in the first round, I honestly think he's been exhausted. Sure he EXPLODED into the scene, but you know the saying, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

As far as ramio goes yes he did win the JapEn Cup but I'm not sure really, I don't think he has the "umph" to get him through the rounds.

I might regret this later but I'm thinking JEB isn't going to be a driving force in the tourney this year. I just get this feeling that it's going to be FPSB and THPSC bringing the heavy hitters. But I have a feeling that there is going to be some mysterious spinner maybe from like the Belgium board (BPST?) or SweSpin or maybe GPC. Idk there is going to be someone though.

Oh yea just because I'm me, I would like to see some crap given to people who spin mods similar to the Buster CYL. But that's just me.

spinnerpeem will probably lose steam half way. His aerial busts are insane yes, but apart from
that and a couple of other moves his move array is mediocre.

pyralux will get far, not as far as s777. i love them both. as far as im concerned the final battle will
be between s777 and eriror, completely differnt types from the style spectrum. It is because these
two are consistant in giving quality combo's, not just 1 then another that looks like the previous etc.

the jeb members will defintley be backed by the 100's of spinners on their board. They will be a very
strong force as well as FPBS, and UPSB.

I still say s777's got this. His skills are out of this world. I can barely comprehend his level of insaneness. He's not my favorite spinner at all, but he's got mad skills.

As for Eriror, from what he's released lately, I doubt it. But if he has something up his sleeve (and it's gotta be some really big sleeves), maybe... doubt it.

I think Sangara sounds pretty much right. :]

ever hear about the swiss pairing system? about seeding? preventing the best from battling the best is easily solvable if you use a point system tourney style with seeding......only thing we would worry about is the better spinners being forced to release some of their better material so that they could actually make it into the WT altogether...

Zombo, problem with the system of boards is that admins can be biased. And members from one country don't neccesaraly belong to that board. kiru isn't on GPC anymore (right?), which means he can't participate in the WT even though he in my eyes is the top German spinner.

I meant swiss pairing just for the UPSB Tourney...swiss pairing for the actual world tourney would be a huge amount of judging which Zombo already brought up might be an issue with a regular tourney system because of the huge number of spinners this year.

we cant do double elimination or round-robin or any of those things, take too much time.

and its unfeasible for the WT to consider every spinner in the world itself. What we do is approximate the spinner population by the communities. there might some crazy dude out there who doesnt even have internet, well we cant do much about it and its gonna be too complicate to make him join. so the WT is not the best spinners, only the best spinners of the participating communities.

imagine if crash has to start reviewing every spinner in the world himself to decide who gets in... impossible

A year later I'm admin and wouldn't dream of representing any other board than my own (it is now at least, it didn't feel like my "home-board" a year ago). This is the system we have, but sadly it's not perfectly working. I don't have any better ideas though, so I'll just have to live without seeing kirua in WT09.

About being active, how often has pho been around lately? What about vic? And those who wanted DaThroat, I haven't seen him (at least not on UPSB) for months.

edit: ok, never mind that, they are around :P still though, where is the line drawn?

What is fair? Isn't right for the upsb board to take to the WT only the people who don't have their own community?

obviously, japanese people place more priority in studying for school and entering good colleges/high schools then participating in a tournament that is for a hobby. i feel the same way as the japanese. if pen spinning will get in the way of something very important in school, i would rather do the school thing then pen spin

Maybe spinners from acutally JEB team are not well know but I saw some of them in new collab.... Areso, MinI and Miyusu kick ass! Korea has strog team tooo - nice that old spinner like Outsider starts ^^.

CNstar is grade 12 this year, he has to do that Chinese high school exam in order to get into university
