    When I'm spinning in school, I get a lot of "how do you do that?" and "what the hell is that?" About half of the people like the modded pens more than the spinning and the other half liked the spinning more than the modded pen that I was using. When I joined penspinning it was because my friend had a RSVP MX and I fell in love with it, and even now I like modding more than actually spinning.


    What make you guys start penspinning? The modded pens, or the spinning? And what do you enjoy to do more now?

    I'm glad spinning's winning. When I see threads like show off your pens and it's vast amounts of posts, it makes me think that this should be the United Pen Modding Board rather than the United Pen Spinning Board.

    People who "start" because of modding or collecting don't start penspinning, they start with... modding or collecting. You start penspinning because of penspinning, pen-modding because of pen-modding and collecting 'cause of collecting.

    they are different things. And pen modding just is another kind of collecting for some people, and for some way to make pen, which will be perfect for theirs ps style.
    for me - spinning > modding

    Whoops, universal it is.

    And not compared to SOYP. Which got so big, it had to be cleaned up.

    i actually like modding more than spinning
    mainly because of this:
    i can be more creative easier

    with modding, you can have 2 random pens lying around, shove one into the back of the other, put some grips on it, and you basically have a completed mod
    most of mine dont with this method work out to be pretty well

    with spinning, yes, combos allow you to be creative, but.... idk....
    i like hands on sculpting better
