Whats wrong with Bics
So far ive seen a lot of people saying that bics are bad or bics are not suitable for penspinning. WHAT?
look i created one bictory and it spins fine so whats up with the whole "no man bics suck, theyre lame, they cant do what other pens can do". WHAT?
I dont care if anyone agrees with me or not but still the question is can you spin,not do you want to spin with bics -

People just really dont like them thats it. Its all preference. I personally like spinning a single sided declipped bic.

sure it might spin fine... but on the totempoll of pens, its at the very bottom.
Compared to other pens, it just doesnt have a chance. -

Bics are ok at spinning and if anyone tells you that you can't spin with them, just ignore them. I like bics though.

Dunno ... I've made a BICtory and I think it's alright...
Yeah cheap compared to other pen mods but I don't see any major problem with them...
Good for beginners too.

I find them uncomfortable for their thin bodies... it's all personal preference. I guess many people just prefer other mods.

Bictories are great to spin with =] my fav mod, only problem is there light and to well balanced with no momentum at all....
I also find that a lot of normal pens not modifiedd at all spin 10 times better than a bioctory -

its all about popularity really, whether bics are good or not is irrelevant, the fact that no famous spinners use them as their own pen is why they're shunned. G3 mods are "good" because their spinners are good, which increases popularity and demand for that mod. bics are hardly used by any pro spinners and they're easy to come by almost everywhere which means rarity of pens comes to be a factor. hgg's g3's, kt's, those are all pens with parts that aren't availiable in most places, which gives it more "value" to a spinner; whereas someone could break a bictory and just go pay another 50 cents to make another one if they didnt already buy the 100 pack for 2 bucks.
With that said, this all leads back to a similar question of "which pen is best for spinning?" which is solely up to preference. I'm not against or for bics but what i am going to say is that if you like them, spin them. I have a thing for rsvp mx's and if everyone said they were lame (which hardly ever happens, but if it did) i couldnt care less, i like it, i spin it, whats anyone on upsb or wherever gonna do about it, that goes for your bics too. -

It may be becuase they are so common and cheap. I don't really know. I use Bic's in a lot of my mods. They are nice pens.

I used to love bictories and they are ok if you are just learning simple tricks, but after you try a heavier pen it is really hard to keep using one when others are so much heavier -

I like bics, but i think that the semi-extended mod makes it much better. Then just grip both ends (everyone knows this) for weight. I spin this mod the most at school, cuz i doesnt make as much noise when i drop it. It feels really bad when i spin an MX and it drops in the middle of a test

people like bictories/bics because they are
1. cheap
2. uh.... cheap?
people dont like them because:
1. too thin
2. 2 light when modded into a bictory (w/o grips)
3. umm.... are cheap so they appear to be "dodgy"???
i dont have a problem with any of the negatives, yes, it is thin, but not unspinnably thin
with the weight, grips fix that problem (especially if you put a dr grip grip and tip on each side XD!)
and the cost, well, its cheap
i really dont care what pen is it, as long as i can shove one part into another, and it spins reasonably
and you know that you dont *have* to use the bic for a bictory
you know, you can put it on the back of a hgg for stability
that probably didn't make sense to you, or you just dismissed it as stupid, but i dont mind, i just did both just then
i said just twice in a sentence.... in the same context.... -

Bictories aren't the ONLY mod you can make with bics xD

I personally don't like the bic barrel. It's too thin in my opinion.
And I find the caps don't look that appealing either...
And it's also way too light for me.
I'm sure bics work well for some people though. :] -

My friend has a BIC mod (dunno what it exactly is). I don't like it, it has thin and slippery barrel. I prefer fatter mods (ayatori and claer KT are nice ).

BICtories do NOT have to be light! I can be MODIFIED, for goodness sake! I used a modified BICtory mod with G2 grips on both of the caps and I taped G1 tips to the end of the BICtory. The mod is just perfect for me. BIC pens ARE cheap, but so what? They're nice to spin with!

Uses a bic soft feel barrel, tho you can use many other barrels that are similar to a bic round stic grip barrel even a bic round stic barrel but thats abit long and you have to do extra modding make that work. Using a bic round stic barrel makes it shorter tho it makes it look like a regular pen almost.
