warning: dont take me seriously
should a bak rev be called a forward?
if its a ba©k and its reversed, it would technically be a forward shouldn't it???
you can also point out other (rather meaning less) contradiction questions here as well i guess.... -

it would cause confusion
because forward was the old name of the thumbspin. -

And that it would be a dumb reason to call it forward.
"Twisted Sonic Forward x7" or "Air Forward Combo" sound too weird IMO.
But as in philosophy, If we did not already call it "Bust" or "FL IA" or "Bak Rev", then I guess "Forward" wouldnt have been a weird name. -

It's not 'bak' as in the direction back, it means the back of the hand. There is no forward of the hand so that makes no sense.

So should it be front? -

It's still spinning on the back of the hand (sorta, baks don't always do), just in the reverse direction. Bak rev. -

I thought it was named the "Bak" because it was the Korean style Backaround.

"Bak" is just a short-hand term for Backaround. -

I thought there was some big debate on how there was confusion on how the Koreans did it, so Bak was given to the way they did it and Backaround was kept for the "Weis" style.
I could have sworn I read an article on that. -

lol, no.
Bak = short version of Backaround.
Backaround = Weis Bak
"Korean" Backaround (which is incorrect naming) is a FL Around Rev. -

I know that was incorrect naming for an FL Around Rev, but then why do we still call it a "Bak" if there is only 1 Backaround, I'm gonna go find that article... some how. -

Bak = Backaround

If that's so, then Bakfall = Korean Bakfall but people are just too lazy to put the "Korean" in front? -
Date: Fri, Dec 19 2008 10:08:51
yes. and you cant do a weissian bakfall.. can you?
-
Date: Fri, Dec 19 2008 10:39:21
^^ no "bakfall" does not specify "Korean Bakfall" or "Weissian bakfall.
Bakfall =/= Korean Bakfall
Bakfall = Backaround Fall
Its not rocket science. Well, this isnt but other naming crap can be. -
