viral video

i know that viral videos are successful, so i thought we, as a community should make one to promote this board, and ps in general
but this might produce some detrimental effects
1. they could sign up, and dont post anything/be active in the board
2. fool around with something and something happens....
my mind isn't working, so dont quote me on that or anything or something......
my ramblings get worse when i'm brain dead XD
anyway, i've been toying with the idea of a "twist" video, possibly something to do with graffiti-tagging (i didn't use graffing, as some people might be n00bs)
i dont know, you tell me if its a good idea or not, and possible videos
mind you, they have to be successful to work... i mean they must be memorable, and usually humour is good
catchy jingles also work, but they are usually hated
any ideas guys??? -

It's more like a themed collab.

i wouldn't say a themed collab....
sure, there will be ps in there, but i was thinking more live/in environment thing
more like this:
scene- back of a toilet block/brickwall
shot 1- handy-cam style, group of guys (in hoodies etc.) walk towards the wall
shot 2- CU of pen in pocket (probably single capped permanent marker)
shot 3- take pen out, chucks pen to friend, takes off cap, gives it to friend
shot 4- double caps the marker, starts spinning
etc. etc. -

That seems more like a themed gathering video
And in anycase
there are tons of PS promos.
Too many if you ask me, there are too many people flooding the boards today with too few moderators. -

You can't "make" a viral video, they just happen.

no, good advertising companies do make viral videos
the video of the air force one being tagged, that was made
and with the members flooding the boards, meh, i dont know exact figures, but could anyone find how many people have joined this quarter, compared to last??? -

No you don't get it, viral video's are made, but at first they weren't made to be so popular, that's what makes them "viral" . -

true.... but MY point is that advertising companies do make videos to be sent via email to promote their company/product/service
another advertisement is that whopper freakout video, that was purposely made to be on the internet, to be sent via email
whether it will be successful or not, thats a different story, but it was planned to be on the net, rather than tv/other media
all we need is a funny/memorable video to send, so that if they enjoy it, they'll send it on
and its called viral because you send it from person to person, like people catch viruses
anyway, we could always use the other promo videos as viral videos...
any updates on registration figures yet???
