Almost all the tricks that I can do on a modded pen I can do on a unmodded pen but combos with the unmodded pen is not smooth more like rough. But I guess it depends on what unmodded pen I spin with cause some spin a lot better than others.

80% for me

Edit

Looking at my explanation maybe I should have chosen 60. No edit button on polls.

eh...it depends on what the unmodded pen is...i can spin most maybe 60-80% happy.gif

Depends on the pen of course. With my main writing pen, ~95%. I spin it more than my modded pens <.<

i spin an unmodded pen at school, and i can do a lot with it.
i guess it would come down to what kind of unmodded pen it would be though.

about 80%, in terms of tricks.

but in terms of combos, probably 10%. laugh.gif

depends on the onmodded pen; edding 1255 or tombow ABT 90% or a bit better than with my ballsign tongue.gif , 08/15 ballpoint pen ~50%, pencil ~70% - compared to my MX

I think every pen spinner can spin an unmodded pen 100%. Se it like this, a skateboarder can't skate with a board without wheels, simply because it's just a board. But he can use it as a part of a table. What I mean is, is that a modded pen is meant to spin, an unmodded pen is meant for writing. Sure the skateboarder can skate with the wheel-less board, but it wouldn't be the same. A worker needs the right tools, a spinner needs the right pens. How many pro spinners out there don't use a modded pen?

An unmodded pen, is a writing pen :: a modded pen, is a pen meant for spinning

Whoever voted 100% is completely lying. Whoever voted 80% is probably lying as well.

you don't support ur arguement.. ur saying that "everyone can spinner 100% with an unmodded pen and then ur saying tha skateboarder need the right skateboard to skate otherwise its not the same."

that saying the opposite of what you said

No he can still skate, it's just not the same. I've sen collabs with people only spinning unmodded pens, and they can still spin them very well, yet they they don't spin as good as they would with a modded pen. All I am really saying is that it's not the same. It doesn't look or feel the same. biggrin.gif sorry for confusing you, I'm just stating my opinion that's all. And one more thing...you can all spin any pen 100%, heck even a banana 100%, it may look and feel horrible to spin, but your still spinning it as good as you can. I mean come on I am still amazed at bonkura spinning with a bottle and cell phone, but not as much when he spins with a pen. Same thing goes with kam, i love his wallet and sunglasses videos. There, you happy now.

yep. ur confusing the hell out of me..
your saying we can all spin our modded pen 100% but not as good as our modded pen. then..that won't be 100% would it? 100%=ur spinning level of a modded pen.

Haha well sorry about that. I don't know how to explain it other than that spinning an unmodded pen is different than spinning a modded one. Because if your spinning at your utmost most level with an unmodded pen, than it is the same with a modded pen, but it just doesn't seem that way Sorry if you don't understand that, that's just the best way I can explain MY opinion

The poll question is asking whether you can spin it the same this means ability to do the same tricks, with it just as smoooth and fast as you can with a modded pen.

The question is not, can you spin a writing pen to the best of your ability with the writing pen? you can spin any pen to the best of your ability, but the level of spinning will be different.

Voted ~60%

Usually spin a RSVP Retractable or Monami 153 when I'm not spinning my modded pens.
Been doing it for a while so have learned most of my tricks with them.

I think 80-100% is pretty impossible, unless you only know the fundamentals or spin a very "light-modded" pen(like a pencil, RSVPv2 or JP).

But one can still spin a unmodded pen. Zebra 3000*f is a perfect example. An Aysh(sp?) and his Dr.Grip.

All it is is practice, anyone can spin anything with time and dedication.

Alright, apart from if they have a Zebra 3000*F, whoever says 100% is lying.

Because the pen looks like that, no modding is done before spun. Spinning a doublecapped F-3000 would count as spinning a modded pen though, even though it's basically the same as a 3000*F then.

As for me, it all depends on what pen; but I'd say like 40%.

I voted 80% but that was old I now have way more tricks in my right hand and can spin better with my right than my left...except for some tricks like triangle pass...

Well thanks, i am just stating this cause a lot of people seem to think otherwise.

80% i just cant do twisted sonics or shadows because it has less momentum

28. LMnet
Date: Thu, Nov 1 2007 20:30:53

i vote 20%, because my favorite pen is very heavy and long and i can do on it very difficult combos, like bak 1.5 fall or neo-bak 2.0 fall. But on unmodded pens i can do only fundamentals and charge+pass combos.

29. P0ŖT4T0
Date: Fri, Nov 2 2007 04:20:28

i can spin with my dr.grip or alpha gel just about as well as my mods

i just have trouble with arounds cuz they're so tip heavy

30. sathonmig
Date: Fri, Nov 2 2007 04:29:53

Hmm I voted 80%.
Because I only spin with unmodded pens...at school..home...etc. everyday. So since I spent more time spinning unmodded I could do most of my tricks with it. The only time I would spin my Lakubo Mod or MX is maybe once a month when I film.
