Should we keep the name Moonwalk Sonic, or simply use a convention of Sonic Normal 12-23, Sonic Normal 23-34, Sonic Reverse 34-23, Sonic Reverse 23-12, etc...

The original thread seemed to have an agreement that it should be waited for the Sonic 1.5 to be completely gotten rid of before this modifier was taken away. Is now the time right to do this? I think so - We should get rid of 'moonwalk' modifier imo.

I'm okay with deprecating the Moonwalk modifier, people keep wanting to apply the modifier to hybrids to try and come up with more names for things. >_< Now that Sonic is accepted as a single spin trick, Moonwalk can be ditched.

I'm fine with getting rid of moonwalk. It seems to cause some confusion with naming.

So a Moonwalk Sonic 12-23 would just be a Sonic 12-23?

Yep.
Moonwalk Sonic Normal 12-23 = Sonic Normal 12-23
Moonwalk Sonic Reverse 23-12 = Sonic Reverse 23-12 -

Great! Shall we get right on to writing the article? It's been a while since NC has really released much...

Moonwalk Sonic Normal 12-23 = Sonic Normal 12-23
Moonwalk Sonic Reverse 23-12 = Sonic Reverse 23-12
i think this gives an interesting perspective on how naming should be split. this inherently implies that the normal/reverse modifier only dictates spin direction and slot movement (going up/down).

The subject of Moonwalk Sonic is now up to vote. Any further discussion can be carried over to that thread if neeed.

How should a Sonic 12-23 start and how many rotations would it have? I think to make it correct it should start in the same position as the Inv Sonic, thus with the pen pointing upwards.

@Sfsr: I agree with you. If I start with the pen in the same position as Sonic Normal, I tend to do almost an entire Charge rotation then drop the pen down a slot. Performing with the pen positioned like Inverse Sonic allows for a moremovement between the finger slots that is more like a Sonic 23-12.
Here's an Inverse Sonic Normal 23-12 > Sonic Normal 12-23 for reference:
