is anyone very good at double lifting cards here? and if so, is there an easy way to make it discrete, possibly without peeling a corner? or is it just practice getting a feel for what 2 cards feels like?

hmmm.. for me, since i do flourishes more than magic, when i do double lift, i don't try to make it look natural, but instead, as though i'm doing it for show. no one knows, since they think it's just me trying to look skillful with cards.
have you seen dan and dave do a double lift? i do something like that. -

nah! I know what you wanna hear!
try this! while holding the deck in one hand do the corner-card-count move but with the pinky. you set up the break at the same time.
I usually do this move palm down and cards away from atention (like with most other moves).
practice this until you are sure to get those two cards every time! then you will always do this instead of doing it with both hands.
I hope this helps!
If you need further help or more explanation, fell free to ask me! -

hmm, a handy trick when ur doing card tricks where u find ur "victims" card in the deck (eg. the colour changing card or the best card trick in the world,) is to go past it and hold a pinky break as you cut and square the deck.
if u understand what i mean it helped me with the double lift.
also i think alot of these things come with practice.
ha i know thats the last thing id wanna hear, i like to learn things without the patience.
