Naming Committee / [topic][5.8.6] Renaming Multiple Backarounds

The term BackAround 1.5+ is clearly wrong, since this is a top spin trick, no longer an around. So I say, rename to BackSpin, rename BackAround Reverse 1.5+ to BackSpin Reverse. Anything else that needs to be considered here? Any other ideas?

BackAround 1.5+ doesn't follow naming convention - In fact, it doesn't follow it at all!

I think a Weisen BackAround 1.5 should be renamed to a 'BackSpin 1.5+'. i.e. An Inverse of PalmSpin.

For a Fingerless Around 1.5+ (or 'Korean' BackAround 1.5+) I think we should use Fingerless TopSpin. You could indicate the fingers the pen spins on easily. e.g. Fingerless TopSpin 12-23 will start in 12, spin on top of 1 and/or 2 finishing in 23.

I'm okay with using Backspin similar to the current Thumbspin definition. Giving a Backaround push & catch as the default start and end positions, similar to a Thumbaround push and catch being the default way to perform Thumbspin.

For the "Korean" versions, I would think that FL Fingerspins would work well enough. This can also be compared to the Thumbspin in its naming.
    "Korean" Backaround 1.5 12-12 = Fingerless Fingerspin 1.5 12-12 = FL FS 1.5 12-12

Backaround 1.5+ also currently counts if the pen does not spin on the back of the hand. It's even easier to perform a Bak 1.5 where the pen spins in the Fulltap Reverse position. It should just be noted that a Bak 1.5+ with a spin in that position should be notated as Backaround ~ Fulltap Reverse.

I agree with naming multiple backarounds to backspin.

Backspin isn't necessarily an inverse of palm spin. An inverse palm spin would be where the pen spins on the back of the hand, the part below the fingers. This trick could be called Backhand spin, like where backhand bounce uses the same part of the hand. The only problem I see here is Backhand Tracer doesn't use the same part of the hand as backhand bounce. Or is all this irrelevant?

backhand tracer is a remnant of the older naming system

it has never been renamed properly because it's very uncommon, so it's unlikely to cause any confusion.
