the handmovements are cool but they dont really look that great when they go towards the camera with that view. Maybe more of an overhead/shoulder view to see where the hand goes and it might be easier to see the direction change. Try that with your old angle maybe -

but yeah, i've been searching for alternatives to TA to get to that handaround trick, so i use that and twisted sonic ~ scissor spin
i also intend to use it as a finisher, that one was ugly tho -

it doesnt look that bad with a rev palmspin or inv shadow normal either except the direction change is a bit weird
i also did iwth with a devil's conversion. afer the spin on the fingers, i opened them and it dropped into place then i did the handarouind thinger. still kinda choppy at it though :\ -

well, the idea is not just to change the direction of the pen, you have to reverse the movement of your hand. in order to that, you need a large, exaggerated hand movement, and then you just trace the path you made backwards
mine was pretty small though, because i can only do large motions from my other angle. if i do it with this angle, you can see my arm and elbow moving, so it looks like crap -

I think pyralux is pretty cool, just a little too much excessive hand movement imo. I wish he'd lessen that zoom in the camera... :\ And quit with the arm waves too. -

It's a little too much arm movement yeah. But it's different. I like that. And it definitely looks good (some of it).
Ever since bonkura, people have been trying to create their own style and most of them do it by exaggerating movements. Like s777, pyralux, and seven. Tons of exaggerations. -
