I was just wondering if a shadow only does 1 rotation (instead of 1.5) is it called a shadow .5? And also, why is it seemingly never used? I've never seen it in anything.

Wouldn't that be more like a sonic then, since a shadow is basically a sonic 1.5, if thats the case its used rather frequently

I can't really imagine how you would start the shadow without the 0.5 charge spin in the beginning, but you could maybe leave out the the 0.5 charge in the end which then would make something like a shadow 1.0.
Just to clarify, when a regular shawdow is reffered to as 1.5, that includes not only the spin on top of the fingers (0.5 rotating for a regular shadow), but also a 0.5 charge spin to start it and a 0.5 charge spin to end it.

EDIT: Oh, I just got it, I think when you are saying shadow 0.5, you are actually meaning a (korean) neobackaround, that is just the 0.5 top spin on top of the fingers, without the charge push to start it, but with a fingerless push instead.

    Sorry, I didn't clarify, I'm referring to a shadow 12-12.

A Shadow 1.0 leaves out the last Charge rotation, which has the pen in a somewhat awkward position. You could catch the pen there, but it's much easier to finish off the full Shadow in the usual Sonic ending position.
