I really hate how it makes me spin, but I found it so I figure why not?

Hm, sanga, I expected better. A lot of fumbles, mistakes, and the combos were quite plain -- no difficulty or creativity.

I think you need to work on spinning with an mod instead of that pencil of yours and learn more tricks, increase difficulty/variety, and improve consistency. You've spent too much time with the pencil and you haven't gotten any better difficulty/smoothness-wise.

Spinning a pencil is cool. But remember, mods were made because pencils and regular pens were too limiting. They weren't good enough.

Sorry if it all seems a bit...blunt.

Yea I've actually been looking for an answer like this, I really really hate my spinning, the only thing I cherish are my spiderspins and my combos lack everything, I'm thinking I may have to just like start all over again. Like relearning how to link tricks, try and copy some combos. I'm not sure really. But thanks. BTW we still need to go meet again tongue.gif .

    and fix'd a few things.

Sure, maybe after midterms. And your spinning's not bad, it's just lacking.

I don't think I agree with that. I like it way more when I can do a trick on a pencil, when I first got bakfall down on a SOcom GEL mod, I was like W/E, that wasn't so hard, but it just last week, I finally got it on a pencil (not smooth) and it actually felt like an accomplishment. I understand that sangara likes spinning pencils more then mods, though I don't take it as extreme as he does.

You might not get as good as fast by spinning pencils, but who cares, why does that matter. Since when did it matter to become the very best spinner as fast as possible. If you enjoy spinning pencils more, who cares if you "aren't as good as people who spin mods" if you get more enjoyment out of pencils.

(I know you were offering advice to sangara to improve his style, which I know is important, improving is one of the funnest parts of PS, I just wanted to address this issue tongue.gif)

what charlie was seeing was a lack of improvement since sangara started pencil spinning.
i agree that people should spin light mods, but for the sake of progression, heavier mods are a good choice/almost neccesary too.
being a well rounded spinner is never bad.
as for this video, i have to agree with Charlie, i expected better. but i know you can do better, so it's not like you got worse. and for advice, charlie got it pretty well summed up.

What you like and do not like is opinion and I will not argue against it; and you are right, it doesn't matter whether you improve fast or not. PSing's a hobby, we do it for fun. Spin whatever you want, whatever you like. There aren't any limits to pen spinning except maybe some unwritten laws some may abide by.

But what I was offering was advice and criticism, in hopes that sangara would improve. As I'm sure sangara would be happy if he did. Who wouldn't?

lol, good answer, its a good thing people offer advice like that so people can improve quicker and maybe they don't notice everything about their own spinning so it could almost be necessary for some parts.

Wait so Awesome why did you skip over my answer to Charlie's? It seems as if you didn't skip over mine you wouldn't be having this.... conversation.

Wait...what?, I wasn't asking about the advice specifically to you, I know it was helpful, and any sane penspinner would appreciate Charlie's advice. I didn't skip over your answer I read you appreciated it. I just wanted to ask about his motivation behind it, it just seemed like a common attitude to "try to get really good at something really fast" while forgetting about enjoying it

I didn't mean to confuse anyone.
