Hello team members. The leaders of our team (well in this case me and VN) have decided for the best of our team that we follow a team training program to get up to the level that other spinners are at.

    RULES
    1) You must go up level by level. You may not skip a level. If you do not know any of the tricks that are within a certain level group, work on that level first starting from the lowest level the trick you do not know is in.
    2) Only certain mods will be allowed in this training program. This is only for ones benefit so please be patient with us. Any mod above 9 grams will not be tolerated in this program.
    3) Every month you will be asked to send in a video of your progress to the leaders of the team. We will judge based on the following:

    - smoothness of technique, _/5
    - creativity/how technique is used, _/5
    - diversity of techniques used _/5
    - overall combo _/10

If you receive 15+ you are allowed to move on to the next level(s)
If you receive 15- you are to continue working on the given techniques and the judging criteria of each technique.

    4) Your main objective is to get through 1 level each month. If you can do it faster, great. We really look forward to seeing your improvement.
    5) You may only enter collabs once you pass level 6. This is to show the best of who we have on our team.

We would have to spin something lighter than an RSVP?

    Date: Wed, Jan 21 2009 12:58:33

Seems intense, and hard work. =] (lots of work=])
I'f the weight is a typo I will be using a naae mod to do this, if it IS 9 grams I will use a double erasered unsharpened pencil.

Does everyone have to do this? And can someone start at a higher level if they've already mastered the levels beneath it?

  5. mhig
    Date: Wed, Jan 21 2009 18:22:10

if you already mastered all the techniques of a level move on to the next level. and yes i think 9 grams is decent.

umm 9 grams? what is that like? If it's really light ill spin a pencil as well.

This seems ok i guess, gives me something to work on.

hmm, I'm so used to using a KT, and it feels way more like 2x that. exactly how much is 9 grams? could I use an RSVP MX or something?
What would you suggest us using??

  11. mhig
    Date: Wed, Jan 21 2009 23:58:07

    i would suggest:

    rsvp mx
    rsvp v2
    rsvp v1
    comssa (gripped or non-gripped)
    f3000
    3000f
    pencil
anything unmodded.. well most pens that don't need modifications, example like.. MonAmi PlusPen 3000 (i'm gonna be using this)

    Is metal comssa to heavy?

  15. mhig
    Date: Thu, Jan 22 2009 20:02:43

with inktube, yes. without no. inktube-less metal comssa weighs approximately the same as rsvp mx.

kk I will be spinning an inktub-less metal Comssa =]

I think this lemon mod could work, as well as this monami plus retractable pen.

I use Supertip and Mx to practice and MX main

What is the point of having us use certain mods?
I personally would like to spin a f1r3fly g3 mod or a metallic comssa with inktube. why should it be a certain weight.

And just FYI-- I'll be starting on level 1. Maybe i'll get decent at spinning.

starting light gets you better. trust me. if you can do cont midbak 1.5 with a pencil you can do it much better on a rsvp mx. if you can do cont bak x5 with a modded comssa then you could do several times more with a metal comssa. i've learned this through experience.
