Pen Modifications / How to remove G3 text?

How can i remove G3 text? I can't find any thread that tell about this and the way using eraser to rub is not working. I don't have chemical things and the text seems printed smoothly and took big space on the pen. I want to remove it so any inserts look nice in it.

Maybe keep rubbing it with acetone until it fades away. Find a chemistry lab and take some.

or some Nail Polish remover which is basically the same thing that Tialys mentioned

Try nailpolish before you go for the acetone. The acetone you find in labs is considerably stronger than nailpolish.

I only said to use acetone because I doubt nail polish remover is strong enough. But give it a try though.

I got a swapmeet brand nail polish remover and it melted through my RSVP Rzdz green -

For me, Acetone totally scarred my RSVP barrel . Text came off, but left a unsatisfactory texture to the barrel
Try using the sugar method mentioned above -

qft! neither the ones with metal tip, nor the ones with plastic tip.
the sugar thing didn't work for me. I tried to remove the cartoon comssa print. the only thing I got was scratches on the surface (okay, the color was gone, but the scratches came... ). maybe I havent been carefully enough. -

Maybe use hard type eraser like in RSVP text removal

like the pen eraser(blue one)? izzit all the ways to remove text will cause the surface of pen body not shiny?(for shiny surface pen body like G3 and RSVP)
EditQUOTE (Sfsr)My G-3s don't have text on them though..

there are other versions of G-3? -

Maybe you have a different version from the one most people use, or one with printing from a company or something?

The ones from Singapore and I guess that part down there says like Signature pen, I got one in a trade from Singapore, just use an eraser, the barrel should remain shiny, just gotta rub your finger over the spot, and maybe wipe a bit of the stuff off with your shirt.

how long you rub with eraser for the text to go off? text on my pen is Pilot G-3 1.0 Broad and also Signature Pen with a little oval like gray color background...

For some reason I thought that it got rid of all the letters, but not really, there's still some on it. It's just more faded, so I guess either I didn't erase long enough, or this isn't the way to go lol

OH OH OH! you said you dont have nail polish remover (which is basically acetone if others havnt told you that lol) but that stuff works really well! if you get some of that, take like a sponge or something kinda gritty and rub it on the pen and it should come off like *snap!*
ps:
Erasing
takes FOREVER!!!! lol -

cyshing, i oso have the same problem.... why malaysia g3 have tinted body....
i use a paper knife and scratch it VERY VERY softly so that it only scratch its wordings not scratching its barrel. i ruined the pen first time, but i made it the second time.
i also tried the sugar method. it works, but the g3 wordings is too hard, it only scratched it out a little. must do quite long for the method.
or just buy g3s from penwish!
edit: try the fingernail polish. maybe will work. -
