Pen Modifications / Beginner

Hey,
i've been spinning for a little while now, but just long enough to realise i need a better pen. at the moment i have a rsvp that has had the ink tube turned around and put out the back and 2 caps, which i realise isn't very good. What would be the best pen mod to get better with? i'm a college student so i'm pretty broke but i can afford maybe 5 to 10 dollars. i like the wieght of the rsvp and i probably don't want to go lighter than that if possible -

well there are several options ... if you like using an RSVP then go with the traditional RSVP MX you only need 2 pens (Pentel RSVP and Pentel Hybrid Gel Grip) but the thing with that is that the HGG is not easily found in the States you can order online but then there is the issue of price. you can always replace the HGG with substitutes but thats up to you.
if on the other hand you want to save money you can get a dozen Bic pens for real cheap and make some bictory mods. you can add weight to these with some Blu tak or metal tips from a Uni-ball Signo. either way it will be cheaper but the barrel of the Bictory is alot thinner then the RSVP.
Personally i like the feel of a Metallic Com.ssa with Signo tips... the materials for this mod are not expensive but again you would need to make the purchase online or trade and the shipping and blah blah might be a turn off for ya.
there are several mods out there that you can choose from and with a little research you can find something that is cheap, easily accessible, and fits you.
