Even with tape, the cap doesn't seem too stable and having too much tape would prevent the cap from twisting.
Will the cap fall off it it drops from spinning? -

No the cap shouldn't fall off but some ppl think it will my cap doesn't fall off you just have to make sure u don't cut the rsvp back cap too much and the nubs inside will hold it and the rsvp threads are partially cut off so it ain't gonna fall out and the gripmatic piece goes in farther than u think

Yaa u can use RSVP back cap i just suggested/ made it optional to use a papermate gel tip as a sub
I used it make a full white MX and I might make it into a MSXA -

turn out very nice!
I change tip to g3 metal tip
but for hgg back cap look not stable and maybe it won't stick with cap
so I just put some tape on tube and put cap back
anyway still nice mod

Yay, tut's out. I have all the parts to make it
I voted for GNT MX because I think there's gonna be more twistable mods, so the name Twistable MX will be too broad.
edit: oh, and one more thing... the steps are a bit hard to understand. it looks like 2-3 sentences crammed into one sentence per step... could you make it more clear? thank you

I made it cleared and to answer some things
If u tape the tape is between the twist mech and the INSIDE of the rsvp back cap
The hgg back cap is stable but u wrap tape around it and place inside rsvp cap for a tight fit and when the ink tube goes in you may or may not need some tape to keep the hgg back plug on the inktube
It is stable tape and stuff is needed only if you cut/sand too much on something -

I just made this mod last night and it's really cool how you thought of using the gripmatic eraser mechanism
I swapped the RSVP cap for a G3 cap, so I didn't have to shave the backcap and G3 caps are cleaner IMO. I also put in an insert in the cap to hide the mechanism. Also I used hot glue instead of tape.
As for spinning, I haven't tried any combos with this because I'm not sure how well the back area of the pen will hold, but overall this mod is really nice because it's twistable (although it takes more than a one twist to get the ink out, depending on how of the ink tube tip you want to expose), and the mechanism is really nice.
I would rate this mod a 9/10. -

Oh u used glue O.o i don't use any tape or glue to hold it together and i can spin it and it wont fall apart and i considered using a g3 cap but i only have 1 g3 that hasn't been used and its tinted
ant btw the twist part fits inside g3s so i made a twistable momentum F1r3fly works ok so u could probably make a twist able g3 mx
idk bout the name now i just checked and its 50/50% -

It's usually the case that all the simple mods have already been thought of. But this one looks very straightforward and easy to make. Good job.

really awesome mod, 10x a lot. a have a lot grip matics laying around xD
just made it with black rsvp colors ^^ and it looks really nice, however don't like how it spins, coz mx is too short for me

ppl make the mod for trial, so i doubt that if other ppl have
already made it and tried it out, it would be no problem...

Maybe the crayola mechanism could be compared to this.
I made it, and its nice.
But on mine, its more of a show kind of thing, because with any type of MX, i normally spin them fast ( sicne its light i find it easier)
and the cap, even with the backap taped, seems to always fly off, or rattle.
Otherwise its nice to have a twistable MX with something easy to find. -

You heat up a paper clip then stick through the top pop ball out, i suggest burning the paper clip a bit first so there is no debris, Tek was the one that mentioned how to remove the ball.

I dont think so, coz its the twisting mech. at the top that makes the eraser of the pencil pop out,
i think its only gripmatic that has those, i've never seen another pen/pencl with that...

for replacement for rsvp get a pen that has a back cap and the eraser piece circumference is smaller than that of the other pen do same process... unless u provide pic or name of pen i can't do much other than that...

I cut my nails that day after the tut, for MSXA you use a Zebra Telescopic and attach it to a piece of inktube drill hole in comssa cap but it together its a little hard to explain
It is a bit more even than the original MX
