    i was able to
    bit of a pain though

and a rubber does work, except you need a courser one, mainly the ones that rip ur paper in half you you try and erase pencil with it
but yes, i have done it

damn, i was going to show you my mx without the writing, but the time i took the photo, i didn't erase the text
you could try and see it in this video:

    use a hard one
the ones that give out alot of crumbs when you erase stuff

i dont know what they are called, but i know that its not a "plastic" type eraser

Would blue tac work? I've used it to remove the stickyness left when you take the barcode off a pen. If you use it like a rubber maybe?

i've used blutac, it can work, but it takes a long time and lots of effort
which i'm not going to waste on erasing

Nail polish? or nail polish remover? would that be metholated spirits? Metho seems to get most markings to come off.

you can just scratch the text off with ur nails if you have had the barrel for long enough
did it with my purple sunburst before i decided to rub the whole thing off
