Have you ever said "its impossible to do that trick!!" or "its impossible to make those combos".??? and then yuo reached it.
Im asking this because its commonly asked by all people whos starts to pen spin!! incluided me. When i reach certain level of pen spinning i feel i might not improove, and then i start quitting to pen spin sad.gif (maybe this topic has been discussed before sorry). I practice a lot.

This topic es specially focused on advanced pen spinners, when did you knew you are good at??, im not asking for techniques or theory im asking for your personal experience at this.

    thanks for your time!!

Well I wouldn't say I'm advanced but... I thought I would never be able to spin well with my left hand, but now my left hand is better than my right hand! laugh.gif

Well when I started spinning, I was amazed by vids like japen 1st and Eriror's Calliopeia and I never thought I could be that good. But now, after learning the different arounds and twsited sonic variations, I realized I could replicate those combos. Same goes for backaround 1.5 fall biggrin.gif

I'm not really all that awesome at pen spinning yet. Sometimes I still say stuff is impossible tongue.gif . Though I used to think shadows and devil's sonics were impossible but shadows are now my favorite trick happy.gif . Guess you've just gotta stick with it.

i used to wonder how bonkura could do neosonic 23-tf with his finger curled in and i thought it was impossible because my fingers were just not as good as his. but now, after some practice, i can finally do it. not that my fingers are ever gonna be as good as his. tongue.gif

same goes for sonic 34-24 ~> inverse sonic 24-14. touching 1 and 4. used to hurt. now doesn't at all. laugh.gif

I said it's impossible a few times...but somehow I don't give up and whenever I stop practicing a trick I just go on improving my previous tricks but whenever I try it again I'm suddenly able to do it in the first few attempts and I just go from there... happy.gif

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small spinners who find it easier to practice within the boundaries they've been given than to explore the power they have to change them.

When i started spinning i was saying: "It's impossible" very often, especially when i see combos like bak 1.5 fall. But now i understand that all possible.

i find myself saying this all too often. it gets worse when i practice continuously and sometimes feel that i have gotten worse. i say "wtf, how is the rest of this shit possible then?"....very discouraging, especially seeing people spin 10x better than me when they have been spinning for half the time. sometimes i just feel retarded. but i suppose everyone learns at their own pace, mine just happens to be slow. its ok though because i know i will eventually get to a point where i am pleased with my spinning. this will only help push me forward until i can one day say "wow, im as smooth as eriror" (in 2 more years tongue.gif )

When I was first starting out penspinning, I saw people do backfall a lot and thought:"Wow, I'll never be able to do that." Now backfall is easy for me.

The same thing happened about a month ago when I thought that I would never be able to spin with my left hand. So I challenged Eriror with a 2 hand theme to force me to practice, and now I can spin fluently with both hands.

    Hey,

for me, the second I saw Bonkura's (R.I.P.) iSonic with his fingers spread apart, I though that was COMPLETELY impossible, and I still do. HAHAHA

I never really thought anything was impossible, but I thought that there were some things I'd never be able to do, it can get frustrating but I think we all know that getting a new trick or combo for the first time is one of the best feelings ever.
