Philosophy / spinning in the shower

sounds absurd, unless you think about it

think about it, if you spun in the shower....

what pen would not get water logged?
and would it be useful for training?
sorta like practicing martial arts at the bottom of a waterfall.

tell me what you think, pen and training purposes?

    Date: Mon, Feb 23 2009 21:27:33

Yes, I am glad I am not the only one who thought of this

I took out the ink of a RSVP and spun it in the shower before, kinda annoying to pick it up though and I like to be finished with my showers as soon as possible so I only tried it once XD

I think it would help, dont know what word im looking for, but it would help you to not drop the pen as much i think because you would get used to it being hit with small water droplets making it off balance. so when doing regular spinning you wouldn't drop it as much.

    Get it?

Thats a good idea, I can take my lavalamp MX into the shower and spin it. It'll look so cool! But yea I think that spinning in the showers helps.

  6. midnight_xhris
    Date: Tue, Feb 24 2009 02:23:46

so from what i'm getting is to spin w/ an inkless mx, and it helps prevent dropping the pen in regular spinning...

any other thoughts? it seems too simple for me.

    it really wont help much

Hell I'll spin anywhere if I feel like it. Shower, Toilet, anywhere. Done them all. Doesn't improve my skill, it just makes me think "wtf am i spinning here for".

  14. Mats

    What a stupid idea!1

You are in the shower to clean, not to spin. If you are spinning you are probably not doing too good a job of cleaning yourself!

[1] I may or may not have done this.

  15. Greekpen

it would be really annoying to try to control becuase of all the water always hitting it, but at the same time, i guess it can help if you practice alot? idk

  16. JSH
    Date: Fri, Mar 6 2009 05:08:34

I'd say you would improve more by finishing your shower and then spinning in your room or something...

  19. HKspinner

It would be easier with a bath, the shower throws water so fast it hits the pen flying away.

Just because something is made for a particular purpose, doesn't mean it can't or shouldn't be used for another. This holds true for pretty much everything. Sure, some places have water restrictions and such, but if a person thinks that they can clean themself and pen spin at the same time, why stop them?

Would be a bit weird though huh(1).gif

spinning in the shower is kinda fun and not too hard too i have a pen that realy sucks its too light but in the shower i can easy do some cont busts with it

  23. Pandubear
    Date: Wed, Mar 11 2009 23:08:45

I wouldn't, because I'd be thinking, "What the hell am I doing spinning a pen in a shower?"

And because that's not really the point of a shower...

  24. midnight_xhris
    Date: Thu, Mar 12 2009 14:28:33

well... say you're done cleaning and you have 5 minutes till you absolutely have to get out. you want to enjoy the water a little longer, and you're thinking about bakfalls and cont busts. imagine a pen right there. would you NOT spin it?

  25. Pandubear

I guess, but I wouldn't expect there to be a pen in my shower, lol. biggrin.gif

Spin a comssa (not really a valuable pen) when your having a bath. I normally don't like being in a bath. So i just get a comssa and spin that for 40mins.

  30. krouls
    Date: Sat, Mar 14 2009 04:20:44

I think this will not work for me... majority of the people here in the Philippines don't have shower, we use a thing called "tabo"/dipper so it's a little hard when spinning while using the "tabo". I might try it uuhhhmmm no.. I won't but that's a pretty good idea dude. next time try it with a "tabo"

  31. midnight_xhris

youre pretty much doing something the whole time youre taking a shower

can u even spin well in the shower?

i rather take a quick shower, get dried, then spin.
i once spun a pen right after washing my hands, and the pen stuck to my fingers

  44. Ktk

'I enjoy spinning with slightly wet hands( wash hands, dry well, still water on it) it likes to stick onto my hand, and I like that.

I don't spin in the shower though. The shower would only:
    1) Ruin the inserts by getting inside
    2) Ruin the ink by getting inside
    3) I'd probably drop it because of the force of the shower on the pen, moving it downwards while I spin.. Which would be annoying.

nut spinning in shower is gay especially with soap on your hands its just like spinner but with annoying water flining from your pen and more friction
