So far there is the Korean, Japanese, European, and Old Style penspinning. One of us here now will create a new style. One new style i think that was already introduced but not mastered was the 2p1h 2 pens 1 hand style. Bonkure did it in his first solo video and recently, and just recently i saw Flip do his 2p1h thumbaround and thumbaround reverse. Discuss what you think new styles and who will be the one that does it.

    My guesses for future styles.
    3p1h

This is one of my weird guesses of future styles. How about Pen Spinning to a song like beat riding in Cwalking.

Ive been working on spinning in sync to music but it still have a long way to go.

Definatly synching with music. Two pen, two hands more common, two pens one hand more common, perhaps even to the stage of making 10-15 second combos eventually. Body spinning (using other parts of the body other than the hands) style used. Interaction with the environment such as the table, the wall etc in combos (environment style? laugh.gif). 4p2h. Making combos with a partner (1p4h, 2p4h maybe even more) and perhaps even a way to spin pens in a group much like jugglers have figured out ways to juggle in groups in various ways.

depends what style is defined as, is 2p1h a style of its own or an extension of an pre-existing style? hard to tell.

Hmm. Consider this. What if someone were doing 2p2h, and doing a Korean style combo in one hand, while doing an old school style combo in the other at the same time. Would this be a new style in itself?

We can't even agree on a definition of the word style laugh.gif

heh it could be like "Korean/Oldschool 2p2h" like a combined style or there could be like "3p1h" style all by itself considering its of the four MAIN styles... When i wrote the topic i thouch of 3p1h hand a style all to its self.

Um... that could be a hybrid style??? IDK i'm still learning about styles, and combos...

Agreements for words seem to hard to come by these days... lol xD

I have one idea that I have been working on for I guess you could say a while, I just haven't got all the materials yet.

I think a really cool style of pen spinning would be using the environment like someone said earlier. Maybe like an elastic style where the grips on either end of your pen are like rounded kind of like a drum stick and also rubbery for good bounce and using that you start a combo then like throw the pen @ something such that it bounces back to your hand and you continue a combo. Wow that'd be awesome.. *drools*

Hah i have tried 2p1h. Can only do twisted sonic and thumbaround with two pens though. Still its pretty cool and you're idea of 3p1h is crazy. I can't do anything with 3 pens lol.

Styles already exist, they just aren't being used yet, If someone decides to do 5p1h it doesn't mean they invented it, it simply means they were the first to do that particular style. I think a popular style for advanced spinners will be using outside objects for spinning, I.E. Set a Tspin going and then transfer it onto another object and start another pen, then switch back and forth. IDK just gesticulating. biggrin.gif

I have been thinking of wall tricks since i saw Zombo said he was figuring/doing table tricks at somewhere... I have an imagination of future style but i donno how to tell it. Oh well, basically interaction with environment like Mats said.

i kind of made a wall trick, you do any type of trick/combo to get the pen between T-1 and resting on 2, then flick it up at a wall and catch it and continue, its kinda wierd...

I think pen spinning with music will become a big thing. Since music has all different speeds, you can easily find some slow, and some fast. It would also put up a challenge, for fast songs like DDR songs, slow songs like classical, or even hard metal.

how 'bout some kind of chinese style happy.gif
i'm chinese and wondered why there's a korean one and a japanese one, but no chinese...

i really wouldn't know how a style's invented, seeing as how i'm kinda new to penspinning, but just putting that out there rolleyes.gif
