hi welcome to my first tutorial. it is the XS mod (Xhris's Sakura). if any of you were wondering yes, this is my homemade dakura mod, and i decided to make this tutorial. i greatly appreciate my mod because it can be made to be very personal. you can make it so that it fits your hand size, matches your color preferences, and identifies with what texture you like. again this is my first post so please go easy on the flaming, but helpful criticism is appreciated.
The XS
Stats:
COG=COP
Length: can be anywhere from 18 to 22 depending on how you make it. Mine's 22 cm give or take .5cm
Weight: Namae modDouble Sided
Writes: yes
Estimated Cost ~$5-9 USD
-----------------------------------------
Materials
Tools:
Cutting Device (Xacto knife)
Opt. Tape or Glue
Hands
Fingers
Pens/parts:
2x Sakuras (any type as long as you have two: Gellyroll, Aqualip, Ballsign etc)
2x barrels, caps, inktubes.
1x backplug
1x G2 grip (can be subbed with Signo DX, RSVP, HGG, Anyball)
1x or 2x Anyball grips (Look up for possible subs)
2x BIC WideBody grips.. (these are kinda hard to find for me... so sub if you want.)
----------------------------------
TUTORIAL
Step 1:
Take your pens and gather all the neccesary things. note. the picture has pre-cut G2 grip and backplug, and pre-assembled caps.
Step 2:
Cut the sections off of your G2 grip. you will use this for the mod.
Step 3:
take your inktubes and drain out the ink until the clear gel is about 5cm from the pen part (see picture). Then cut the inktubes from the back so that they will be 9.5 cm in length.
Step 4:
Take each Barrel of your sakuras and cut from back until each is 10 cm in length.
Step 5:
Now take your caps... cut off the clips if you so desire. Then place Four sections of anyball grip over the top, and then take your Widebody grips and place them over the anyballs, your product should look like this.
Step 6:
Cut the "plug" part of your backplug off. and carefully place it halfway into one of your barrels, at this point you may add glue to the lining of barrel around the plug.
Step 7:
Place your inktubes. into the front of your barrels. cut inktubes if neccesary.
Step 8:
place the G2 sections around a sakura body. and join the two sakura bodies carefully, so relatively equal amounts of the plug are in both sides. at this step you may apply glue over the seam, or wrap a layer or two... i suggest glue.
Step 9:
allow glue to dry, and then slide the grip over the seam, snap on the caps, do a TA and enjoy.
Any Questions on length, and such? i'll be happy to answer. -

Might cause confusion with the X-S MX.

idk but maybe you should find a better way to connect the two barrels together because using the backplug of the ballsigns will make this mod very unstable. and i think that the inktubes in the body would make the pen rattle a lot when its spun, doesnt it? anyway good mod.

the grip and some glue make it very stable. and the inktubes dont rattle at all. -

isn't the name already taken? I beleive Ninja Kai created a mod under the same name, i'd think about a name change.
