controversial match: fratleym vs ssEno. french people love technical combos. chinese people love stylish combos. both spinners represent the two different ideologies well. I think the result of this battle will be difficult to decide. -

Oh wow, some surprises but here's my guesses.
Caras vs Eriror-definitely a tough choice, but Eriror knows the tools of the trade. He'll pull through.
ChauTran vs Dongza- This one will definitely be close, smooth and fast spinners but I think Chautran has a small advantage in both smoothness and maybe difficulty.
Stuhl vs Minwoo- ouch, GPC vs. GPC, unless Stuhl pulls something creative, smooth, and extremely difficult out, Minwoo's got this.
Taeryong vs wcy- This one might be closer than people think? Taeyryong owns the smoothness category, but his latest videos have been very short and haven't showcased his great skills.
Fratleym vs ssEno- I don't know much about ssEno, but he better watch out of Frat is gonna let loose.
Answer vs Skonix- After the disappointment of the Asian Cup, Answer has been a beast. I don't see him losing this one, his smoothness and creativity is great.
s777 vs Spinnerpeem- Oh wow, super match. I think s777 has got this one because Spinnerpeem used a lot of his arsenal in rounds 1 and 2. His combos and finishers are starting to look the same, and with that insane finisher, I don't know if he's got anything left. If he's got something up his sleeve he might win. If s777 doesn't bring it, Spinnerpeem's got this one locked up, but I'm assuming that s777 is gonna pull some crazy shit for these last few rounds.
Gollumsk8 vs Supawit127- I don't know too much about these spinners, but I think that the Thai spinner's style is starting to wear out. Not that they're all the same, but they've been the freshest out of all of our boards. gollumsk8 has got great smoothness and extreme difficulty especially with FS, idk how Supawit is gonna 1 up that kinda style. -

Caras vs Eriror I Agree. I really like the overall structure of Caras's past combo. They're well done and some of his linkages are exceptional. Eriror has yet to amaze me. But this is gonna be a tough battle.
ChauTran vs Dongza I don't know about this one. Chautran's been disappointing all two rounds and I've never seen him pull out anything that amazing.
Stuhl vs Minwoo Gotta agree with that one. Stuhl's creative and all, but so is Minwoo, but Minwoo just takes it to another level.
Taeryong vs wcy I'm all for taeryong on this. I personally don't see what's so great about WCY. But I guess I'm just spiteful.
Fratleym vs ssEno I'm not a big fan of frat as his combos are always confusing, but I say he'll most likely take this one. Maybe.
Answer vs Skonix I agree
s777 vs Spinnerpeem I'm pretty 50/50 on these two monsters. Things can go either way, really.
Gollumsk8 vs Supawit127 Gollumsk8 has interesting linkages, but supawit has some sweet busts. Not too sure about these two also.

Personally, I don't like either of them =\ S777's style to me, is ugly, his fingers make me wanna puke. And peem, sure he can bust like no tomorrow, but his combos are generic and predictable. The only fabulous thing about them is the finisher. Null.

Caras vs Eriror I'm not completely sure about this. I'm kinda counting on Eriror's having held back against his past opponents and that he can pull something awesome this round.
ChauTran vs Dongza Null. Maybe leaning more towards Dongza since I really haven't seen much from ChauTran the past 2 rounds that impressed me but I know he has the potential to win.
Stuhl vs Minwoo I have to go for Stuhl on this one, because although Minwoo has an insane amount of difficulty and creativity, his execution just seems way too sloppy.
Taeryong vs wcy Seriously, Taeryong hasn't impressed me at all and frankly, I'm surprised he's made it past rounds 1 and 2.
Fratleym vs ssEno I'm expecting Fratleym to take this with his jaw-dropping creativity/concepts but I really love ssEno's spinning and he could probably win this if he goes all out.
Answer vs Skonix I adore Answer. Also, he's been doing great these past 2 rounds.
s777 vs Spinnerpeem I dislike both of these spinners. Null.
Gollumsk8 vs Supawit127 I can't justify this one at all, I just enjoy his spinning more. -

s777 vs Spinnerpeem if s777 uses both hands (and peem hasn't been training left hand previously or has even more insane stuff up his sleeve), then s777 will probably win. going for spinnerpeem though

Stuhl vs. Minwoo: hmm... I think Minwoo's gonna win this one with his difficult an dynamic combos, but Stuhl is smoother and has a lot of creativity and I wonder what he'll show us in this round.
wow... s777 vs. spinnerpeem... I am sure both of them will have excellent combos... I really don't know who to root for lol.
If spinnerpeem and supawit127 both win in this round and face each other in the future rounds then I really won't know who to cheer for xD
fratleym vs. ssEno... I really like fratleym's difficult and innovative combos, but ssEno's style is very impressive too.

s777 vs spinnerpeem..... well , I'm sure 99% s777 win... because all two first round were just may be 30-40% s777's ability... he can do many many many amazing tricks that u can't imagine what terrible of them.....And I think he will do those hell tricks in this round... when he faces with a hard opponent like Spinnerpeem

Taeryong vs wcy... I think wcy win because Taeryong's combo is always too short nothing so hard, he just only has the smoothness...
Fratleym win... nothing to say again
Answer vs Skonix... I choose Skonix... like his style
Gollumsk8 vs supawit127... well, Gollumsk8 is a very old time spinner... but supawit127 is the best version includes Dongza and spinnerpeem... his style is fast and strong like Dongza , however his busts are so smooth and he also can do some amazing hybrid better than Spinnerpeem...
However, ChauTran will win the WT 09 yeah yeah -

Caras vs Eriror - Well ... this is closer than you guys think IMO , Caras did very well with his linkages and style in past rounds , but yeah its hard for him to battle with spinner with lots of experiences like Eriror +1 Eriror
ChauTran vs Dongza - ah but for me nothing much to think about +1 Dongza , why ? BECAUSE Dongza can pulls off LOTS more hard tricks / combo than Chautran I believe that
Stuhl vs Minwoo - +1 Minwoo more hard tricks and more creative
Taeryong vs wcy - Definitely hard choice but +1 Taeryong because of his style is pure smoothness and I like it , I think WCY can't do much more than his bouncing stuffs ( Probably
) but nah .... its still close battle

since both s777 and peem didn't try anything special/new in past 2 rounds, we can't really predict results. they've both been holding back a lot...
s777's WT vids don't seem significantly more impressive than his WC vids last year, and peem's WT vids don't seem to be especially better than what he showed at thai offline tournament XD -

Tough decision...based on R2 i may go with Eriror..but i predicted both to win and they did...

Again, in R2 i predicted Chau to win but not Dongza...so i may go with Chau

each year there is a global pen spinning competition called the World Tournament. There are 64 participants in total, that will battle it out through 6 rounds until there is a winner. Each round lasts around 3 weeks, 2 weeks to film the freestyles and 1 week for the judges to score the videos given. Each spinner that is seen spinning a modrod during the World Tournament will be awarded U.S. dollars in accordance to how far they advance in the competition. Here is the award amounts for the winners of each round.
Round 1 - $100.00 (32 possible winners)
Round 2 - $200.00 (16 possible winners)
Round 3 - $300.00 (8 possible winners)
Round 4 - $750.00 (4 possible winners)
Round 5 - $1000.00 (2 possible winners)
Round 6 - $5000.00 (1 possible winner)
The last round you win will determine the amount awarded. For example, if you win your match in the fourth round, but then lose in the fifth round, then your award would be $750.00. If you become World Tournament Champion, then you can add $5000.00 U.S. dollars to you winnings, if you do it with a modrod!
In order to qualify for the award, your name and youtube video must appear on the World Tournament Website.

WTF why would a company pay 5K to the winner of WT, its hardly like the publicity could move 5k worth of pens, sounds pretty fishy to me.

its pronounced Cah Ras
