There's the Aerial that KTH used, but I'm not sure what it's called. I've seen called Flying Around, and Air Indexaround, but I don't even know if those are right.
It's getting more common, but then again, I haven't seen enough past collabs to know that for sure. -

Theres an aerial by Asian Tim which i like to use. It's basically a thumbaround and while its spinning you throw it up and it still spins in the air then you catch what ever way you like.

I'm sure the wiki has 'em.
Basically, it's this:
For the bakriser, do a backaround, and mid-way -- while the pen is half-way spinning around your finger -- jerk your hand up a bit. Pen should go flying up..and then back down. Catch it.
Same goes for shadow riser.
Oh. And some aerials not on wiki.
Fake Reverse Release
TA Release
TA to Air
Palmspin Riser
Wiper Release
Halftap Riser
Baktap Riser
FL TA Release
Spiderspin Riser

how do you do a ta release?
-
Date: Sun, May 18 2008 00:35:31
TA Release: push just like a Thumbaround, but launch the pen into the air instead of having it go around the thumb.

Well I just looooove the tornado-TA air, like BonKura does, but we should not foget bounces of every body parts.
A verry cool aerial is like TA air, than instead of catching, we tap it back to air with the middle. If we are krazy, we can do like the tap/bounce with every finger, but this is hard... -

I like this aerial : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80rk8nhTopk...feature=related

what's the difference between a "release" and "riser" modifier?
-
Date: Tue, Feb 10 2009 05:44:58
@point if im not mistaken, i think a riser is created by a direct hand movement, while a release is when you let go of the pen in mid spin (the movement of the hand can be used to emphasize the height/spin/etc. but isn't used as the primary source of motion)

I saw Ken doing it in a really old upsb/pds collab vid, but he did multiple aerials coming out of infinities. I've had some success in doing them, but I usually end up going overboard with the speed and it just flies across the room.

Aerials are a very original and different trick family.
So I think that it's a good idea to create a thread concerning Aerials in general.
(I didn't find any threads equal to this here, if there's one -> link, close.)
Use this thread to post tips, questions, minicombos (with aerials) etc.
------------------------------------------------------
I got 3 questions / problems:
1. How do you catch aerials precise to be able to continue spinning smoothly?
---a. Concentrate at the pen (movement, position) to catch it precise?
---b. Throw the pen the same way every time (amount of spins, speed, heigh) to automatise it?
---c. A mixture? Something else?
2. When performing an Aerial to Spin: Do You move your hand down when the pen lands to avert that it bounces away? Or is there another trick to avert bouncing and keep the spin?
3. Any tips how to control bounces? -

For most aerial tricks, you want to control the number of spins it does in the air. Generally, people release the pen for about 1.0-1.5 rotations before catching. The number of rotations is key to catching it. If you simply release the pen wildly, catching it becomes harder and more random thus it's harder to predict when/where to catch.
As for an aerial to fingerless spin, one again, it's impotant to control the # of rotations and force acted upon the pen. Bouncing's natural, you'll get the hang of it in time.
