As of now the only moonwalk trick I know is the Moonwalk Sonic. Does anyone know any other moonwalk tricks/combos? If you do could you list them and give a breakdown?
-

So far, that's it.

Moonwalk Inverse Sonic would also work, but it's hard as hell. I can do Inv Sonic Clip, which would be the same but in the other direction, but it kinda rotates more on one side of 2 instead of completely infront of it.

Are the moonwalk inverse sonic and moonwalk sonic really it? I read about a moonwalk infinity somewhere and a few other moonwalk tricks. Is it possible that the tricks had their names changed?

The wiki for moonwalk sonic has no pictures :\ If pictures are worth 1000 words then youtube playing at 15fps is worth 15k words compared to the wiki's explanation
-

Except that the wiki article is currently all my own words, which makes them worth much more.
I plan on adding photos...at some point. It'd be even better if other people would add some photos.
So far, the moonwalk modifier hasn't really been looked at as something to base a lot of tricks off of. It's like the Extended modifier, it was just made to fit a few early tricks. -

The name of Moonwalk Sonic comes from the name of a move in breakdance called, you've guessed it, moonwalk. The move involves the performer giving an illusion of moving forward while actually moving backward. That is also what happens in Moonwalk Sonic. So, in principle, any trick which gives the same effect can be named as such. Such a trick will likely have the Sonic/conic spin type, as the nature of this spin allows for such an illusion.

I have heard someone mentioning Moonwalk Ext. Infinities but you can always break that down for wipers, passes and charges..

well, warped sonic technically is a moonwalk twisted sonic,so we could say it's another moonwalk trick

isn't there a moonwalk bakfall?
indexbak rev 12-12 > pass rev 12-23 > midbak rev 23-23 > pass rev 23-34 > ringbak rev 34-34 > pinkybak rev 34-34
and the moonwalk bakrise would be
pinkybak 34-34 > pass 34-23 > ringbak 23-23 > pass 23-12 > midbak 12-12 > indexbak 12-12
so basically instead of passing underneath the hand, you pass above the hand
i know it's not a moonwalk trick, but the moonwalk properties can apply to a bakfall
and like merkuury said, it could apply to infinities too
and possibly other combos
thoughts? -

Tricks can begin and end in many slots. None of these tricks, not matter which slot they are starting and ending in, give the impression of walking under low gravity.
Oh and about 'Moonwalk'. -

Moonwalk was just the first thing I thought of to describe those tricks since the pen is spinning the opposite way but moving the same direction. It's not a great term, but since nobody else does those tricks, it probably doesn't matter. -

hey btw, can someone do a moonwalk sonic in palm down?
And, for your list, there's moonwalk sonic rev. -

We took away moonwalk >_< this thread is pointless now.
-

Sangara: moonwalk notation is removed only for the formal notation. We still can say "moonwalk" to underline the difference between sonics normal and sonics normal that goes downward in the hand.
You and your goddam formal notation... -

Yet its about 100x easier to say Sonic 12-23 -

well not irl
the point is, 'moonwalk' isn't even modifier, so searching for other versions of it is pointless -

Well, by seeing it as a modifier, we could have discovered some new tricks, but, anyways, it didn't worked this time.

Wrong the name came after the trick, thats kinda how it works. -

What Stay'n Alive meant was:
We treated 'Moonwalk' as it was a modifier.
We then put it at the start of trick's names. For example 'Moonwalk Shadow'.
Then we imagine what this trick would be and see if we discovered a new trick.
This time we didn't, but maybe applying this technique in the future will yield new tricks. -

Thanks a LOT, Mats.

Moonwalk sonic was deprecated not too long ago. Moonwalk sonic 12-23 now = Sonic 12-23. It's not a reverse sonic - it still spins cw (righties), not ccw (righties).
