Pen spinning may have increased some of my grades in college. I'm sure there were times I would have fallen asleep were I not sitting there spinning my pen. I think more is learnt while paying little attention than while sleeping.

Hm... PS'ing in school allows me to kill boredom during maths lesson and act as if I'm paying a LOT of attention when in actual fact, I'm just like my other classmates paying just a little attention to what the teacher is teaching.

Btw, I'd like to ask anyone if you were asked to write an essay on your hobby, would you write PenSpinning? laugh.gif

Pen spinning keeps my mind occupied during these long lectures from teachers such as the ones from my History or British literature classes. I've also had to make a how to video in my TV production class. I did it on how to do the 4 basic tricks in pen spinning, got an A on the project. happy.gif If it wasn't for pen spinning, it would be harder to pay attention in some classes.

does it have to be in school?

I did several of my school projects on PS when I was still in school. I am pretty sure I Aced them all ^^

But better yet, every job interview that I showed my PS, I got an offer to be hired. I think this has to do with a few things:

    1. If they ask you a tough interview question, you spin your pens...distract their minds for a while...and that buys you time to come up with a better answer ^^

    2. I usually show Pentrix and the older UPSB as sites I've worked on, and they are pretty impressed...that's when they ask me what PS is.

    3. When I show them my PS, I believe they see my dedication to PS as a good quality to have in an employee.

    4. In general, showing them PS just makes the atmosphere more casual and friendly, which makes the interview process easier. Everyone gets more comfortable, and that's what they end up remembering more than the fact that I don't know X and Y programming languages xD

So yeah...PS has helped me get all my recent jobs xD The one interview that I didn't get a chance to show my PS, I didn't get an offer back sad.gif

but doesn't that mean that u were fired, so u had to get a new job elsewhere, LOL xD just joking

I did my project on PS too , LOL

in class, when other people spin pens, the teacher usually says "stop spinning, ur not as good as pong pong to not drop his pen"

    i was like LMFAO

@pongpong: LOL. If I had your teachers, they'd kill me. I drop it... mainly because I don't really pay attention in class (don't get me wrong; I'm a straight-A student - I already know everything) and try to learn new tricks/perfect awkward linkages/other stuff that involves a lot of dropping. Clearly, this is not a good idea in a classroom, for obvious reasons. But I'm a retard.

LOL i was doing bust x 6,5,4,3,6,2 etc....random drops and teacher was like "you're driving me crazy i'm gonna kill you if you don't stop."

ps helps me pay attention (strangely) and prevents boredom after i finish work smile.gif

I have lost all my concentration from studies into PS.

But it keeps me awake in Social Science class. The worst teacher ever...

whenever I spin in class, everyone stops what they are doing to watch. Sometimes even the teacher ahaha. So i guess it helps to burn time in a boring class (or any class for that matter)
