you think that if i practice enough i can do all the pen sp;inning tricks with a pencil and not with a mod?
because i want to be able to do it with every thing - pen, pencil. and not only modified pens. -

hmm... there're many types of pencils. I've seen heavy pencils(and spun them before) and they are quite fine(for tricks like twisted sonic bust, devil sonic... etc) But I doubt it'd be easy to do all those really ghay + advanced + "terrifying" tricks with an unmodded pencil. So yeah...

It won't be easy but it's sure possible. David Weis used to only use pencils and he rocked!

It is definately possible
and i saw pencils that are super huge and perfect for fingerpassing and one was like the bonkura's big pen -

Lol, you mean the WK's one? I think TS meant those normal pencils, not those huge ones lol -

in pen spinning, if you use one pen/ pencil, then you get super used to spinning it. just like if i started spinning a dr.grip, and used it for a week, i would get used to spinning it. just spin the pencil for a while and you will get used to it, and it will feel like a mod.

if you can smooth spin with a pencil, you can spin smoother with mods (in general...usually the case, but not always)
if you can do hard tricks with a pencil, you can do harder tricks more consistently with a mod
so if you've fully mastered something, you will probably be able to do it with a pencil -

Although many people say that if you can spin with a pencil, you can spin with other stuff...
that is NOT the case.
I find that how well you spin has to do with pen texture, length, thickness, weight, balance-ness, and even (believe it or not :/...) the colour!
I got my comssas today.. I span my double capped white comssa better then my yellow one... because the colour of the pen does create a small illusion on it which can affect how you spin it. (i.e. double capped, you expect COP = COG. But with a pen like an MX, you expect it to be somewhat off, until you are experienced with it -

I see no real difference between spinning well with a pencil or a pen. It might just be easier to adapt to how heavy a pen is and for it to carry the momentum better than it is to get used to spinning a pencil, where it is generally more thin and weighs quite a bit less.
As long as you practice with a pencil as much as some do with a pen, I don't see anything you won't realistically be able to do with a pencil. -

There's one guy in my class he can spin a pencil pretty well. And when I mean pencil I mean a 5-8cm pencil. He can do short combos, shadow and backaround with it. Also some other tricks.
