most people who dont penspin are usually interested in it, and they try to immate my by doing a finger pass or cling to the one TA or charge they may know, but i've noticed that doing moves like TA harmonic and multiple busts have the most ppl say "holy shit did u see that?"

i understand that people dont see the actual value in combos because it all looks the same to them, but why are TA harmonics and multiple busts the most appealing? bak fall, a trick i think is more appealing visualy is not as appreciated.

are most people so easily amused by a repetitive motion?

the reason why non-psers think tricks like multiple busts, aerial tricks, top spin tricks look appealing is, well, doesn't the pen look cool spinning around your index finger repeatedly? and doesnt it look cool spinning really fast on one spot? I remember when I was a newb to penspinning, when I saw a combo, all I could think was "what the heck is Banz doing, I can't see what tricks he's doing... the only tricks I liked were his palmspins and thumbspins", but now that I'm more experienced, I can see the difficulty of the sonic- and pass- type tricks.

IMO, visually appealing tricks would be the insane fingerless arounds that spinnerpeem does, midbak 1.5s, topspin tricks like palmspin/thumb(index)spins, spreads, etc.

I think to the untrained eye, you can't really see the individual tricks, and even if you could, if you didn't know much about penspinning, you wouldn't know what's hard or not. So the simple repetitions look cool and are easy to see.

As Eric has pointed out, there's already a thread about this sleep(1).gif
