Board Comments / Moderators are immune?

Well there is a report post feature on this forum and I guess when a post is reported it goes into some kind of place that all moderators and admins can see. Is it possible for moderators/admins to delete things in this section? In this case, does it not mean that a moderator, if reported for some valid reason, could see this has happened and delete the report before any sanctions are enforced?
Also, if people are promoted to moderator status, does this mean they have all past warnings removed? Is this not unfair? -

People only get promoted to full moderator status if the rest of the mod team and the public feel that the mod won't be the personality that lets them post anything against the rules.
In theory, I suppose yes, I could flame someone, someone could report me, and then I could remove that report. But I won't be online 24/7...at one point or another, I'll be in class, i'll be asleep, i'll be out with friends.... and a report made during that time can be found by another moderator/administrator (since there is usually at least 1 or 2 online at pretty much all times) and then a warning could be handed out to me...
But once again, such an occurance will not happen, since moderators get reviewed carefully before chosen to make sure that the person isn't one to break the bigger rules like flaming/insulting. -

Well, if there truely was a problem with something not being deleted/cleaned, you could always PM more than one Moderator/Admin. that way the message would be spread forsure.
But, with the report section reports aren't "deleted", theyre only completed. All evidence of completed reports are kept along with their details, and who completed them..
And, a moderator became a moderator for a reason, they were helpful to the board and such.
They really shouldnt have any huge past offenses, and if they did, they where really in the past.
As well, the warnings are just a system for moderators/admin. to keep tabs on constant trouble makers vs. first time troublemakers, so warnings/ actions can be changed accordingly. The warnings have no pre-determined effect. -

um I reported a post from an anonymous admin once and it sure got deleted. So they don't have immunity.

Frip is confirming what Zombo said. He reported a post of an 'anonymous admin', and that post got deleted.
Conclusion: No immunity. -
