UPSB v3

Pen Modifications / RSVG2 Tutorial?

So, I've been PS for about two months. I have so far used a stock G2, but just to try it I've made two mods: an RSVP V1 and a G2-E2B. The former is pretty good, but I prefer the G2 due to its weight and perfectly centered GOP. The one thing I do prefer about the V1 is the length. The G2-E2B, on the other hand, I'm not such a big fan of. I like that it uses the G2, but it's just too long for me. So, after making these two mods, I have left one stock G2, parts from two other G2s except the barrels and grips, and four stock RSVPs. I looked to see what else I could make, and found this:

This mod seems to be exactly what I'm looking for- a longer G2 that still writes and has a (near) perfect COP. I'm going to make this, but the only thing is that the instructions are kinda vague and not very hands-on. I also can't find any tutorial (or even a mention) of the mod anywhere else. Does anyone have a tutorial for this or know where one is, or should I just try my best?

If those instructions seem to hard for you to maek the mod, you can try to amke a RG2T. It was one of my first pens and it was great, uses only 2 pens (g2 and rsvp) both found in the US and is pretty easy to make.

That looks nice, but it looks pretty similar to the G2-E2B in terms of length and design. I don't want that. Also, it doesn't look like you can write with it. This is kind of important for me, since I plan on using this pen in school.

EDIT: Just got done making the RSVG2. It was surprisingly simple and easy. The only confusing part was making the RSVP cap fit on snug, which it doesn't without going far down. I found I could do that with no filler between the two clicker, but it was only about 16 cm. So I taped up the thread of the G2 back and put the piece that goes underneath the G2 clicker underneath the top one as filler, and that bumped me up to about 17.5 cm (although now after clicking once the clicker will slide down to 17 cm). So I'm still a centimeter or so short from the model, but it's good enough. I think the difference is made where exactly you cut the RSVP cap. Anyway, I really like this- finally found a mod I'm happy with happy.gif. I'm not sure how the tape will hold up, but if I want I can always just take it back and go to the shorter version.

I am thinking of making a RSVG2, but I would like some opinions on it first. I don't want to pay for all of the materials if it isn't a good spinner. I love g2's and I know how to make a mont blanc refill fit into a g2, so I really want to make this mod for that reason. So, do you like it?? Is it a good spinner? Worth the money? Compared to a regular MX, how is it?

it's decent imo.. good for beginners and intermediate spinners.. basically people still learning the main fundamentals and beginning the advanced tricks.. but its only downside would be that the cap tends to get loose after many drops so just be careful about that.
compared to mx.. i haven't spun one in awhile since mine sorta disappeared 1 1/2 years ago xD but at the time i liked it over mx so yea..

I personally don't like mine... the caps stays fine on mine because I used super glue on it, but I don't like it for spinning. Seems a little light and off balance... I don't know, I personally don't like it.

    Its no really good mod.

If u got a rsvp and a g3 make rsvp nx mmt wich is a outstanding mod. U can even add some grip to the front and some weight/grip to the cap (to keep cog=cop) to make it good for infinitys.

I use one as my main, and love it. I made a slight tweak, though. I only inserted one G2 clicker into the cut RSVP cap rather than the clicker and another filler piece. I don't like messing with tape to build up barrels, and I found if you do this then the cap will click on perfectly on top of the G2, no tape or glue needed. The only disadvantage you could say this has is that the final product isn't as long as a normal RSVG2, but I think it's worth it. I call it the RSVG2 Type S, for short or Scream, my PS name.

I've made one of these. These are pretty cool if you get it right. Same
with the Double-Sided RSVP mod. It just takes practice to make it good...

I don't think this mod is that good. I think that an RSVP MX2 would be a better mod. But if thats what you're looking for, then try it out.
