Hey guys, for next years talent show in my school, im thinking about doing penspinning (except im gonna spin a glow stick)
*the glow stick is actually really nice, it doesn't have that stubby chunk of plastic on the ends)
I think it'll work pretty well, since the real effect is when the pen blurs during spins should i just spam a bit?
and, I have to ask but the talent show is either gonna be in our school library or the theater. Theater is actually pretty big, do you think its even worth it if its in the theater?
what tricks do you guys recommend? -

hmm u nw wat?? i wun suggest u to do pen spinning cus since u alrdy mentioned tat the place will be huge meaning tat there will be alot of ppl there plus frm the audience's view a duck looks like a pigeon(jus an eg) so yea ur glowstick must be pretty large in order fer them to see if nt they probably wun see anythign u do and also (sry fer being long winded) if ur using a glowstick it will hav those 'blur effects' tat to the untrained eyes of the audience it would seem like u r doing some mess (i hope u get wat i mean...)
it would be gd if there was a projector screen and a camera to broadcast ur performance 'live' on the screen and tat will be so much better ^^ -

what you need to do is be standing with the glowstick, spinning that, but have a live feed camera going on zoom in the background with a projector screen so the audience can actually see what's going on.

but the blur effect won't be there then
*do you mean the projector is for people to see without the blur?

I'd suggest getting a camera and a projector, so people can actually see what you're doing.

I think most schools prefer live performances. -

it'd look a lot cooler if you were doing it in person, but the problem is getting a large crowd to be able to see what you're doing.
yeah, a video camera would be good. but then again, what schools can afford to buy that kind of stuff? at least where I live the school wouldn't be able to afford it... -

What iMatt meant was that you should get a video cam, hook it up to a projector, and use that so that everyone can actually see your spinning on the projector, OR do lots of aerials, like what SJ said.

Work with the IT Media staffs in your school. Most of the time they would be active during performances. Just tell them to somehow connect a video camera to the projector zoomed in closely then your gonna be famous in ur whole school XD
