I'll have to say I use the same, but if you ever can find metal dental instruments, they are amazing for making holes in the back of an RSVP cap or the like.

    Cutting barrels:
    Drill and knife.
Cuts a barrel clean in 10 seconds, max.

    Removing pen barrel text:
    -Acetone
    -Rubbing akeehol

    Adding weight:
    Solder

Pusing things out of pen bodies:
Grips: Tweezers - get under the grip, twist, pull
Other: a small hook, paperclip works. I like it better because you can get friction from the tip.

Get some rubbing alkeehol and rub it off. The alkeehol should cause it to clump and make it unsticky.

heh, can never be too safe. go go goggles! I also use them for practicing aerials. laugh.gif teflon and electrical tape. That poker on the left is for bics and hggs, and whatever i need to poke out. I also use straightened paper clips, and those alcohol wipes doctors use before giving you a shot. Ive got loads of them. a nail hand hammer for RSVP back caps. and a nail file to smooth stuff up. The rest is in the picture

Wow... you guys really use alot of stuff to make your mods.
I'm more ordinary in my choice of equipment.

If I make a RSVP MX:
Cut whole in the backcap for the ink: A fork(yeah, it works better than you think wink.gif(use a solid fork so you don't bend it)
Cutting the clip: First I bend the clip off, then I use a "nailcutter" to get rid of the sharp edges.
Removing the text on the barrel: Spin for a month and it's gone.
Adding weight: Put a heavy tip on.

For most of the mods I do I don't need more stuff than that. And the best part, everyone got those things at home!

HAHA! So yeah, ban me in #Swespin xD

Hmm, I'll take a picture of my modding stuff tomorrow, but it's pretty much the same as the stuff mentioned here already. But what is Blu-tak? What is it called in sweden, and where can you get it, Yiep?

But thats for an MX, once you do flashy and complicated mods you'll need a lot more to make it nice. Because cutting a hard barrel isnt all that fun.

That might be. I usually only do MX's, and the other mods are either simple so I can make them myself, or I trade for them. I'm a lazy modder. Mod 5+ MX at the same time so I don't have to do it again for a long time tongue.gif

    Gerber multi-tool set
    -Scissors
    -Pliers
    Electric drill
    Scissors
    Chopsticks
    Tweezers

I need to buy a hacksaw and sanding paper. I think that's all I would need as far as tools go. I can't imagine a mod that requires any more complex tools, other than the retractable MX Maniok created. I have a Dremel for that.

    My list of tools:

Modeling Saw - For cutting barrels, declipping.

Large File - For Filing (coarse)

Nail File - For Filing (fine)

Plyers - When I need to rip something out that's stuck, or hold something in place.

Tweezers - Pulling things out of other things (RSVP grips inside caps).

X-Acto Knife - General all-purpose stuff, grip cutting, shaving, cutting inktubes, etc.

Masking Tape - to help guide the modeling saw for a better, cleaner, cut.

Scotch Tape - for use as a filler, to wedge different pieces of mods together.

Teflon Tape - To hold tips on, also as a filler.

Dremel - for the big jobs that don't matter aesthetically (im' really bad with power tools)

THE BEST WAY TO SAND PLASTIC PEN PARTS PERIOD- Dremel

    http://www.jemarpet.com/images/Dremel%20DT395.jpg

theyre the best! you know how RSVP caps always have part of the clip on because you cant just break it all off? well i can sand that nub down in less than a minute with my dremel. i was wondering why all RSVP mods have that nub on...i hated it, i couldnt do infinities at all with it..so none of my RSVP mods have it

    I use :
for cutting and filing etc. > leatherman that has jagged knife, smooth knife, file , pliers
    weighing sides down a bit > blu-tack
    tweasers
might use a knitting needle the odd time
    superglue for holding things on

I find that pen modding is just as fun as spinning it self.

Recently a office supply store near me went out of business and i cashed in on all the sales.

So Dremmel tools for like 10 bucks and lots of cheap Packs of RSVP's and stuff.

    So any ways

    Heres my Pen modding Station.

I find that while im spinning at work or any where, i recruit new spinners every where i go.

And so far i've sold about 10 or so Pens for around 5 bucks to newbies, and used the lil profit i made from that to upgrade my equip.

So basically, im useing a Dremmel tool with like over 20 some different bits.
Xacto knives, a wire cutter, pliers, and i have this one tool not shown in the pic that i guess looks like it cuts heavy duty metal strips or somthing.

But a pen can fit perfectly into the loop and it will cut almost any pen perfectly in 1/2 in one snip. Kinda looks like a hole puncher handle but has a lil circle and blade on the end.

In the box i have a bunch of grips and inktubes and random parts from all sorts of pen.

From left to right i got a bunch of multi color g2's, Profiles, Rsvps, Uniball signos, Pentel stick gels, Sparkle Hgg's and a box of Semi clear white bic's

in the box brown box is a few pens i made and i also have a hotglue gun and tape

and of course i got computer and printer for inserts and stuff like that.

I bought mine on sale for 10 dollars.

You can get them at walmart for 20 bucks or less.

the bit set has 150 peices in it. only cost 14 bucks.

im not Rich.. but i am out of college and into my career hehe.

i guess the inspiration for this set up is Tek.

i saw some of his pens and was like.. Damn really nice looking and creative.

I wana make some innovative pen mods and designs.

i just really suck at cuttin Grips into cool shapes
