ambassadors are not really chosen, rather they come from necessity (the only guy we know that can do it)

Err.. alright.
My idea of Ambassadors is someone who communicates at the official level of things.
Maybe only have ambassadors from a board to UPSB, considering UPSB already is a hub of a lot of things.
I doubt there would be someone fluent in both japanese and french, for a JEB <> FPSB guy. (that was an example)
So my question is, is it necessary? There are tons of new boards out there, and using ambassadors is a great way to communicate to each one.
They should be like in good standing on the two boards they represent, etc.
And we could lump PDS/KPSA into one ambassador group thingy, and same with PSH/HKPSA/TWPS.

What will Ambassadors do? Seriously, it won't be like countries or something. Its the internet. You can just pick up some one's e-mail id and chat with them or something.
Fine, Ambassadors may strengthen the communication between boards but they have no 'actual' job.. O_o

I like the idea.
It would be easier to know whats going on in the other boards, also, there would be no language barrier. I think it would be difficult to select the ambassadors - who should it be? A mod?
It should be someone who is very active, so a mod would be good.
You can just be more up-to-date. -

No, many mods are inactive.
People like AyySoLo, Joshy, and the people Zombo named are good choices.
