I wholeheartedly request that posts like the following be a punishable offense as the serve no real purpose, nor do they benefit the board in any matter.
They also cause severe lag for users with slower connections and elongate pages unnecessarily with repetitive material.

Oh ya, these type of replies, I hate 'em. Sometimes they make my browser hanging in the air. Maybe a warning to first offenders would sound good. xD

Anyway, does the webpage load faster if all the images are contained in a spoiler?

I don't think so since the images are still technically there.

images inside spoilers won't load unless clicked thats the whole point otherwise its pointless to ask people to put large images in spoilers

So then can we make it mandatory that images like the example above be in spoilers?

There's a reason why Show Off Your Pens was created, to show off your pens regardless of how pointless the pens are.

It's a simple way to show off what new things you may have made or gotten without spamming the forum.

It comes down to nothing more than bickering about personal preferences.

It's not fair to say that stock pens can't be allowed to be shown vs. a Mod. Both are pens.
    ----------------------------------------------------------

The sad fact is that people are too lazy to go about using spoilers.

The other part is that most images posted tend to be a bit too large to load initially before the board-mandatory resize.

idk, a size cap such as 1280x1024 is the standard if I remember correctly.

Those generally aren't much to load.

The best thing you can do is try to set an example, use it when ya can. But it's kind of nit-picky to actively ENFORCE spoiler tags on original posts.

but the point of xero is to "post only your pens" not the sequence of opening your package, why not just post the organized pens?

rule 11a already states that any chunk of large images should be put in spoilers

But images that are too big are automatically resized. So I'm assuming that if we see any large images(that are resized due to oversize) and they're not placed in spoilers, we can report the post?

no because the automatic resizer is dependent on your resolution, for me 1024x images are not that big but if your screen is only 800x600 then its obviously gonna get resized
